Meanwhile, in the United States...

This guy does not enjoy video games the same way I do.

Well, it finally happened. I am officially too old to understand why this is a popular thing. It was fun while it lasted, youth.

Didn’t L.A. Noire do this in 2011?

So happy to see this excellent you tuber getting some much deserved attention. A lot of us in the dark souls community have been following his work for a while. He actually creates a lot of his own cinematic shots, which is a big part of what makes the channel stand out above the rest.

Am I wrong in thinking that the main reason people fondly remember Everquest is because it was really the only quality game of its type at the time? Is there anything unique about it that would make it stand out at all from the pack in today’s post-World-of-Warcraft MMORPG climate?

Ronda Rousey is quite a bit more muscular than Gal Gadot. Rousey’s physique clearly reflects her proficiency as a fighter. Gadot, on the other hand, looks like a cosplayer.

If this were a Zelda game, Nintendo wouldn’t be able to repeat the formula fast enough.

I am just not buying Gal Gadot’s girly-armed Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman should look like a damn body builder. She’s an amazon warrior, not a fashion model.

Terrible.

If I’ve never played Final Fantasy IX, but hate touch-screen controls, should I just pirate the original version and play it on an emulator?

I think this makes perfect sense, actually. Conan has a huge online presence since his switch to cable, and South Korea has perhaps the most obsessive internet culture in the world.

Belt, ladder, sign.

Dang it. Beat me to it.

I think our definitions of the phrase “has finally paid off” are very different.

Duke Nukem 2 was absolutely excellent as far as early 90s platform shooters go.

As for Duke 3D though, it had such great puzzle-based levels though. By that I mean that a huge part of the gameplay was exploring and figuring out where to go, how to traverse the environment, and what switches did what things. They simply

In all honesty, I’d probably like it, though I doubt I’d have the time to invest in it the way I’d really need to in order to enjoy it. 10-years-ago-me would have been all over it though. :)

Wow. This game doesn’t sound enjoyable in the slightest, and I say this as a huge fan of Souls-likes and Rogue-likes. I’ll pass; thanks.

Linkle rhymes with tinkle, and is stupid as fuck. Worst character name ever, if they wanted people to take this seriously. Shame.

Those are all valid points. I still think that, tonally, they nailed it. There are certainly things to criticize, but to say it didn’t feel like the original show or that the two main characters were acted poorly is bizarre. Those are the things that felt most “right” about the episode, in my opinion.
