I almost think this is the worst time for him to find out because not only is Chloe dating the Devil, but he’s going to find out that everyone else knew about Lucifer and the celestials except for him and Ella. I also think he’s going to feel the most betrayed by the fact that Amenadiel never clued him in.

One thing I really appreciate about this show is that they generally give characters a reason to do plot-important things out of character (like Chloe deliberately deciding to ignore what’s sure to be an important phone call).
