Just last week I noticed the craft pumpkin ales were already out. It’s still in the 80's, ffs!

I tried Conan’s podcast because Spotify kept throwing it at me and turned it off after five minutes because he was interrupting his guest every few seconds. It was obnoxious. Probably didn’t help that I’d been listening to David Tennant’s before that, which if you’re looking for famous people talking to their famous

BritBox has entered my streaming service rotation (I turn Netflix off every few months to switch it on) and Mum was probably my favorite discovery. It’s a brilliantly understated bit of comedy with a very strong cast.

This looks like a painting of the guy who played Healy from OITNB playing Donald Trump in dinner theatre.

EWR’s social media would dox you

Matrix 404

Another win for women considering how many fic writers are women!

I have as well, but the party beer is also front-and-center. It’s not hiding in the back behind a wall of tupperware and that ancient bottle of mustard.

Add to that longer check-out times than a standard grocery store as well and it’s a non-starter. The most registers I have ever seen open at my Target, which has a bank of probably 16 or so at least + 4 self-check outs, is two. (I generally go Sunday afternoons or after work, so peak times.)

I feel like a spicy breakfast sandwich is a huge gap in the fast foot breakfast market.

[redacted most of my comment because I didn’t realize you already had a bunch of similar replies.]

I have been trying for years to understand why there are people who think calls or media consumption on speaker in shared public-ish spaces (public transport, airports, restaurants/bars, etc.) is okay. Such a pet peeve for me.

Except I came down here in the comments to wonder why they didn’t make this spicier. They have plenty of very popular non- or less-spicy menu items already, and there are plenty of folks in the US who love very, very spicy things, so it seems like this menu item would be perfect for them to draw in 1) current

In an interview, he talked about he spent a lot of time putting it together, testing and iterating and crafting it into something that was catchy as hell and short. I don’t know but suspect that the repetition of both lyrics and melody lines, its short length, rhyme, and and the fact that it involves riding horses

Normally that would bother me, but after the BS Billboard Country pulled, I will listen to every damn remix he releases for the rest of his life. (Also: it’s a really great record? EP? Whatever it is, he’s clearly very talented at creating highly listenable, accessible tracks.)

I’ve been very meh about hard seltzers despite drinking a lot of soft seltzer, but if Polar, i mean Arctic releases a grapefruit, I will definitely be trying it.

In Boston, they literally call the thing in IthinkHamNoblockedme’s post above “fried dough” and they sell it from street carts in and around Downtown Crossing/Park Street area, like the same kinds you can get sausage-in-a-bun or pretzels from. I’ve never seen it anywhere else I’ve been or lived.

I would gladly pay this woman to go to wedding receptions on my behalf if she could promise not to steal things.

I agreed with you up to the last bit. As a woman in academia, I can sadly assure you that the new guard have definitely been learning from the old guard. They may speak the right words, but their actions betray them.

And the recent mini-series literally killed any interest I had in revisiting it or wanting more of it.
