This was incredible, thank you! It made me wonder about similar dynamics in indigenous and Latinx communities.

DUDE. I wasn’t a big sci-fi (or even fiction) fan when I picked it up. My now husband and I were getting to know each other long distance at the time, so we read each other’s favorites. It. Blew. My. Mind. Never before nor since have I made so many margin notes nor underlined favorite passages, including grad school.

Nailed it.

I wish I had your optimism! Last summer I told my husband I refused to spend another in South Texas. I would go north for a few months. Well...

So I’m glad it’s not just me. I thought “is this guy barefoot? It doesn’t look like those two actually know how to use those...”

THIS is the audio I hear in my head when I see that video.

Not sure if it's documented in the literature, but I once had a reaction to some extra hot salsa my boyfriend at the time had eaten. It felt like my vagina was ON FIRE. Thought I was going to die.

My husband says when he was in middle school, the boys (who didn’t even know what they were talking about) called sex "the hot beef injection." Makes sense now.

I really enjoyed Hinterland (Netflix)! It’s technically Welsh but in the same vein: country vistas, constant rain. The names are awesome, too.

Try getting them to even admit anything is happening to begin with. The media lies!

Aww, he was my high school rockstar crush! The video for Round Here mesmerized me. It made me want to do *something* to/with him, but I didn’t understand what that was. (I realize now it was actually *make out*. I was so innocent!)

Actually, Trump likes colored people...

Uhh, probably because people are always saying we don't belong?! It's partly a defense mechanism for some, especially older generations.

I avoided the entire central part of town while he was at UMC, but just knowing he was on El Paso soil had me on the verge of an anger stroke Wednesday afternoon.

El Paso is my beloved hometown. I just flew back from there yesterday.
