Right--the NYT Morning Brief offers the same thing, but without the side of self-hatred.

I’ve literally never seen the show, but I would venture that those women had a decent idea of what they were signing up for.

How cool.  I’m a fairly improvisational cook (and even baker), so I have so much admiration for the discipline and patience this must take.  Not unlike a lab scientist!

YES, you know an Ina recipe is battle-tested, and will come out reasonably to very well, and be delicious. I love her show, and especially enjoyed the times she would let us in on her recipe testing process (trying different versions with minor adjustments/additions to the ingredients, like some coffee in a brownie

Or the in-between step: the angsty AIM away message...

I find Lea Michele to be an *eyeroll* personified, but she can sing circles around LL, and she brings a youthful vibe that fits with Ariel being a teenager in the story. With her world-wariness and throaty rasp, LL would be better suited to voicing Ursula (though fortunately they had the good sense to cast Harvey

You’d think it, but it’s actually a very old-school private school in a wealthy ‘burb in the midwest.  Which makes it extra-ridiculous.

Sad to report I have encountered a Brooks, Chip, Trip (i.e. the third), and I shit you not, a Muffy, at a fancy school I went to (on scholarship).  I was friends with someone who was the fourth, but he just went by his name, thank goodness.

That is really good perspective. Thanks for sharing your experience and for giving more information on how it compares to other treatments.

I’m so sorry to hear about your struggle.  I didn’t have full-blown PPD, but I either had a mild case, or what some might call the “baby blues.”  I noticed that healthcare providers would ask questions along the lines of, “and how are you feeling, good?” which makes it really hard to open up when you’re feeling down

While I applaud attention and solutions being given, a 60-hour IV treatment is HIGHLY IMPRACTICAL for a new mother. Those without nearby family, a partner who can take that amount of time off, and/or other childcare will be quickly deterred from considering it. I hope that in time there may be some kind of medical

LOL, saaaaame.  The hubs is on a weekend trip, and once those kids are in bed, it’s ON.

Absolutely. Let’s not pretend that the university system isn’t a kind of meta-fraternity, that for years has given continued preference to those who previously had access, thanks largely to power and privilege. There is a huge machine within these schools that works these family connections for donations and other

Right, and UCLA is no slam-dunk, either—even for top students.

That’s a great analogy.  Plus you made me think of Jon Hamm, so bonus points.

Did they put Bradley Cooper’s face onto someone else’s head?  Because something about the hairline/hair looks way off and it’s throwing me.

Those sound like solid upgrades. Around here, I go with a good amount of butter for cooking the grilled cheese, and *always* finish it off with a good shake of onion salt.

That sounds like a winner any time.

All of that sounds miserable.  And twins weighing 8+ lbs each?!  She’s a hell of a woman.
