Female-ing be hard, yo.

So the minifridge is just...

I have this condition, though it wasn’t formally “diagnosed” the first time around. Things were a little dicey after I had #1 (LaMorenita), but I wasn’t given any warnings, nor told it would impact me with #2. I asked about it during some prenatal visits, and was told it *might* cause issues again, but my doctors

My go-to heeled sandals are JS. They are a soft tan leather, simple, wide straps, subtle toe platform and stacked tapered heel. Perfection. Flattering. Go with everything from jeans to dresses. And so comfortable. I bought them at TJ Maxx probably 6 years ago, and I would buy 5 more pair today if I could find them, I

Exactly. I grew up on/around a horse farm, and there is always a HBIC. As the human, you just have to make it known that when you are in the mix, it’s YOU.

A few things I use frequently:

That’s terrifying, and while I’m glad they made things right, it makes me wonder how many other people they’ve suckered.

Days spent caring for a baby can seem never-ending, especially if you’re not used to it and haven’t devised ways to help fill your day. I found getting out, even to the grocery store or to walk around the mall, were life-savers. Toting around a baby ensures lots of positive interaction with strangers, and if you’ve

It’s pretty solid! First, it has The Rock AND Rob Corddry. Second, it has characters with some ACTUAL complexity. And a few strong female characters (the retired player’s wife, The Rock’s female sportscaster “friend”). Good story lines and dialogue, fast pace, some glitz and glam thrown in. Glad to see it

Totally. It tries my patience at times, when I know I could do things faster, but teaching your children to do for themselves pays dividends. For you, and for them. In life.

Yeah, that is such BS. I get that systems get abused, but it’s been proven that companies who treat their employees well on such things benefit in the long run due to employee happiness/loyalty, retention of talent and less time spent hiring/training replacements.

I had ElMorenitoGordito earlier this year, and cobbled together my vacation, sick days and my company’s paltry 2-week paid maternity leave (that you get if you’ve been there for at least 5 YEARS) to come up with 6 weeks of leave. And I’m LUCKY compared to so many women in the US.

I feel you, but I was getting more of a pelican vibe...

  • Choose casual, family-friendly establishments.

I’m going to try it on my next trip. I’ll probably put the milk in storage bags so that JUST in case there is an issue, I’m not having to figure out how to save my bottles.

SO GOOD TO KNOW!! Thanks :)

You’re right—it does say with or without the child... I’d read news stories like the one below about mothers being forced to throw out milk if not traveling with the actual baby. I have a trip in a few weeks and was planning to carry on, so I’ll bring a printout of this page from the TSA website and see if they’ll

As a nursing mother with a couple of upcoming business trips, this would be amazing. Crazy that breast milk can’t be brought on a plane unless you have a baby with you. If I had the baby with me, I wouldn’t need to be pumping (as much)!

Makes me think of John Oliver’s piece on transgender rights. I was absolutely disgusted by how the legislators shown here fawned all over the young man who spoke to them, and then VOTED AGAINST his initiative. I love John Oliver for calling these people on their hypocritical, bigoted shit.

While out walking this weekend in my new subdivision, I discovered that one of the streets is named something very similar to “Southern Heritage Drive.” Literally stopped me in my tracks.
