I LOVED this dress. Simple, but with interest, flattering and age-appropriate.

Oh, totally. Nothing like sleep deprivation and a round-the-clock demanding creature to magnify any relationship issue you've ever had.

I always say that having a kid is the best and hardest thing I've ever done. It offers a type of love and fulfillment that I've never experienced before, but it also creates so much more work. Just as you figure out one stage, you're on to the next one. There is a routine that must be followed. The logistics for

It's like... so perfect it hurts. I would steal this right off her back if I could get away with it.

Oh, THANK YOU! I was truly baffled, since this look is so out-of-character for her. I can see it being an awesome costume, though, and a bit cheeky coming from her.

But what is going on in this picture? The face looks good, but the peach neck ruffle and all the hair chotchkys? Surely Martha knows better than this...

I begrudgingly agree. Not a big fan of hers (can't tell if it's based on her Girls character or her actual personality), but I am loving the detailing on this dress. Well styled, all around.

Thank you. Her red carpet style is always AWFULLLLL. She is gorgeous, and if she just toned it down, she would look SO much better, and (dare I say it), more age-appropriate. Heidi, you're at about an 11 on the glitz scale, and we need you at more like a 6.

...and that was NOT the part of the picture I clicked on!

Sandra, you look so fresh and lovely! But why the severe center part and hair curtains? They're bringing you down, girl.

I want to know how they get it to stay that way! Hair magic.

Ok, I was thinking the same thing about the model. First, let me say that I think she's strikingly beautiful, and it's cool and groundbreaking that they're using "a woman of a certain age" in their campaign. It works. It's clever but still marketable.

I just recommended The Orphan Master's Son on another thread. HOW great is that book?

The Orphan Master's Son was, hands-down, my best read of 2013. Phenomenally well-written, and at turns funny, sad, dramatic, and strange. It's set in North Korea, and is especially apropos given current events. I like long books, as long as there is continual progress and interest, and this one fits the bill

Jessica Lange would be a shoo-in to play her in a biopic, if ever one is made... I thought this was her at first glance, despite the title (I'm on cold meds... brain not work real gud).

I grew up riding, and still have fond memories of going to the tack store with my mom. The SMELL....

No, definitely not—I'm with you. He brought Axe body wash, which still permeated the house the first (and last) time he used it. Blech!

Haha, I hear you, but what I gave him was Fresh Cucumber or something similar. I'll consider getting him the mens' line when he can do long division.

My stepson arrived to our house when he was SIX with Axe products. I was like, "Nope, nope, love you, but this is an Axe-free zone. Here's some Dove to use while you're here."

My thoughts exactly. I adore them both, so I have to believe that you had to be there to witness the witty delivery. Right?!?
