You know what’s better than a V6 that acts like a V8?

As a rule of thumb, any setup the drivers like, the fans will hate.

Last year NASCAR did a low downforce test at MIS after the August race, top peak speed was 223.5 without the tapered spacer. A low downforce package with a tapered spacer would still probably peak at between 215 an 220.

Great article but to be fair the racing at MIS always stinks, so NASCAR really didn’t spoil anything (pun intended).

Because Audi sources most of it’s hardware from VW.

GM should be bashing the Ecoboost V6s instead, since its V8s are a simple tried and true pushrod design they’re easier and less expensive to maintain and repair. AND get better fuel mileage.
