I mean... if we want to get really technical (and clearly, we do), electricity is just energy, not a fuel.

This is true and fuck everyone who does this.

Sometimes the semantics matter.

$100,000 isn’t that much money anymore.

(Update: Somehow we forgot the Jaguar F-Type and Chevrolet Corvette convertible, which are similar price-wise and, in the latter’s case, much more powerful. And they can be had with a stick.)

I live in this district and wanted to fill out that box 100 times over.

Not sure if it counts as a car club, but LA F1 Fans gets together in bars to watch Formula One in Santa Monica. We’ve been around since 2012, and are over 1,500 members strong so far! It’s a blast!

I hope that - since the names of those involved has been published - the injuries are non-life threatening.

Hot Take: The Enzo is an ugly car.

How boring would the world be if we just decided to make the same thing over and over again.

This happened to me!

I thought the 427 models were built at Shelby’s garages in Venice, CA and at LAX. Or is it just that they were retrofitted there?

Agreed. And there’s a big difference between the kind of place that cranks out one car a week, and what Acura is doing here. I’d say that Saleen and Hennessy are garages, while this is a full-on factory. Not to take anything away from them.

Building concept cars is easy. Building limited production supercars is only slightly harder. Building a production vehicle is really, really hard.

Do it.

If I own the business - An aircooled 911. Profit for days.

That depends on how you define “making off of each vehicle” - Are you thinking the cost to the company to build a car (the Bill of Materials)? Because they’re making a LOT more than $2k per car. Every OEM is.

Airplane! has a ton of meta comedy too.
