Don’t know if I’m the only one, but I had a tough time following the beginning of this article because of the pronoun issue, particularly because the use of ‘they’ seems to only apply to Rooster and was therefore inconsistent in the piece.

What a completely tasteless collection.

Just can’t shake the feeling that we’re seeing the last of the new sports cars here.

How did you you come to that conclusion? It looks like shit. Why would a designer push for something that looks like shit?

This has been my experience. Most dealers partner with a local bodyshop, but they are usually certified by the OEM.

I have seen shops say they haven’t received parts, even though the order wasn’t placed. Some of them are pretty disorganized.

Oh God, I hope this isn’t a dress rehearsal for the midterms.

Someone on Jalopnik should do an article on the scourge that are hydrogen fuel cell cars.

I think if the general population every truly understood the difference between how billionaires and normal people live, there would be riots in the streets.

Another former owner here. What a great car! My 05 was one of the uglier cars I owned, but it just begged to be driven hard.

I hear you, and I still think the project is awesome. I’m kind of arguing semantics here, so feel free to ignore me.

I’m six foot, two and have driven a ‘74 Alfa Spider on many occasions. I also daily drive a Honda S2000, so my feelings on this topic are a little abnormal.

Miami is one of the top markets for luxury and exotic car manufacturers. To the sport of F1, their involvement is probably the most important thing, so you need to keep them happy. Having a race in this city would be great for F1. I don’t think anyone would argue that.

Counterpoint - Museums preserve history for future generations. I’m not just talking about 30 years from now, but also 200 or 1,000 years from now.

No. It would for sure be over six figures.

I’m with you. Think of the slipstreaming!

Not everything is vertically integrated like that at major companies. Just because VW owns a company, doesn’t mean that they won’t compete against one another in some respects. They probably shouldn’t, but it happens.

Rising income inequality. There are wealthy and there are poor. The vanishing upper middle class that have bought Jettas and Golfs in droves are going away, so they’re following the money upmarket.

You’re extremely rare.

Unless you’re uber rich and friends with a Ferrari dealer. Then by all means, finance the new model Ferrari. Drive it 350 miles in six months, then flip it for a $25,000-$40,000 profit. Then put your name in on the next one.
