You know what, though?
The Pagani Huayra rearview mirror is also cool. Probably also stupid expensive.
What a badass lady!
So my grandpa ran an Oldsmobile dealership in Illinois for decades, (Also a Porsche and Maserati store in the 70's... How did I miss out on all this?) and my mom got to drive a lot of brand new Oldsmobiles as a result.
I would assume they would do Montreal and Miami back to back, then October would be Austin and Mexico would be back to back.
Yep.
Baku always produces amazing races. I think the long straights have a lot to do with it. Long straights with slow corners mean the detrimental effects of driving closely behind another car are reduced. I hope it will be great!
They quit Le Mans because they didn’t want to invest the money to develop another race car. Developing a new non-homologated race car would cost even more.
Orloved?
Everyone who has seen Volcano knows Tommy Lee Jones beats lava.
After a little bit of research (when I should be working) Dallara lists the MC12 as one of it’s vehicles on the history section of its website. (Scroll to the 2004 section)
Officially, Frank Stephenson is credited with the bodywork from his Ferrari days. That doesn’t mean that Dallara didn’t heavily rework his original sketch. I always thought the MC12 looked more designed by wind tunnel than an artist’s pen - Which makes sense since it’s basically a homologation special.
I once asked Frank Stephenson - who was lead designer on this project - what the door handles are on this. If you look at them, they stick out like a sore thumb. I thought it was the old 500 or something, but that doesn’t seem right. New Jalop challenge?
I work in customer experience at a luxury/semi-exotic car manufacturer. Taking really good care of customers takes time and experience and that costs money. Part of what you pay for at the higher price point is the logistics and network that takes good care of customers.
Porsche: “We’re a company that defines itself through motorsport, but we learned that people don’t really care about racing so we abandoned top-tier motorsports and will now just throw some sick modz on an old racecar for PR tours.”
The stuff about the traffic is totally true, though. That’s no joke.
This is the point about gentrification that I think really needs focus. I don’t think anyone would really object to money coming in and improving a neighborhood, but the problem is that there have been little/no opportunities for residents to prosper along with their neighborhood.
There are lots of old buildings in LA, but it didn’t see as much of a dramatic ‘White Flight’ in the 60s and 70s that led to this kind of wide-scale neglect. Not because Angelenos were more hip to diversity, but more because the city was pretty much always spread out. Downtown LA saw some of this, but the younger…
Totally agree with you.
