After the 2009 models, they upgraded the Gallardo transmission and they got much better, but they were still painfully off the 458 that just came out that year.

You could play it at the Petersen Museum... Source: I work there.

To be completely honest, you’re not missing much. Lamborghini says they fitted the car with a single clutch gearbox to create a more ‘dramatic driving experience’ but it’s much more likely that they couldn’t develop a dual clutch strong enough to handle the power of the V12 engine (Further proven by the Huracan’s new

Am I the only one who thinks the Lamborghini Aventador drives like shit? The gearbox is so awful it completely ruins the driving experience, and everyone keeps shelling out insane money for it. Then this?

Failures are meant to be the norm.

Interesting that they were considering a rotary for this car originally. I would love to see someone drop a 20b into one.

I think the likely answer is that someone is working on a personal project in the garage after the Apple car work is done. Could be the sand rail, could be someone’s race car project… The sad thing is, if that is the case - that complaint and these subsequent articles are most likely going to shut that practice down.

Just because the feds aren’t likely to come after us personally does not mean this isn’t a concern. The companies that make the parts we buy are the targets here. What are we supposed to do? Fabricate the parts ourselves? The grassroots racing world depends on the industry to make components that make it affordable

It says they’re open to public comment. C’mon Patrick! Call us to arms! Where do we gear heads need to write in?!

That Rand Corp. piece is very enlightening and terrifying. I would love to hear what presidential candidates have to say about what they would do about Russian aggression and their commitment to uphold Article V…

I used to work for a Porsche dealership and he once traded in a black DeTomaso Pantera for something else we had in stock. It had an issue where sometimes if you turn the ignition off, the motor would keep chugging along. My solution was to rev the engine which would starve the cylinders of fuel and it would finally

Maybe they’ve since changed their stance. Or the guy lied to me. Either wouldn’t surprise me. The world of Lamborghini is… Strange.

I wonder if this is a byproduct of their direct sales model. Dealerships occasionally deny business to customers who aren’t worth the hassle.

This kind of driving is always Justyfied.

Los Angeles is awful. Most everyone lives in an apartment building with too few carports to accommodate all the cars its residents own. Your roommate took the one carport spot? Time to circle the street to find curb parking for 50 minutes...

I organize the LA Formula One viewing parties and have done for the past few years. I do so at my own cost, and with my own spare time because I enjoy sharing F1 with others. By pretty much any account, I’m a pretty big F1 fan.

I once sold a Honda S2000. That was a pretty bad idea.

… well it was about that time that Renault realized this Formula One team was about eight stories tall and was a crustacean from the Paleozoic Era. They said DAMMIT MONSTER GET OFF MY LAWN!

Don’t be so sure. No vehicle registration, parking tickets, speeding tickets...

Take your emotion and you love of cars out of it and just look at this logically. In the next 2-5 years there will be two types of transportation on the road. One will never, or nearly never get into an accident. The other is piloted by humans who make mistakes. Over 32 thousand people died driving a car last year.
