*Pushes taped glasses up on bridge of nose* Ron?! Heh. Heh… I think you mean it would be like a McLaren Bruce! *Nerd sniffles*

People are constantly being denied the opportunity to entrust their lives to skills they’ve honed in the name of passion. Every time this happens, I feel like life looses a little bit of its intrigue. It sounds like insurance companies made this decision. Pity.

The text read: “DON’T DRIVE OFF THE ROAD!”

No. Driving with your highs on is way worse. You don’t create a safety situation when you type in all caps. It just looks stupid.

A lot of people have given the obvious answers here so let me be pedantic and suggest La Carrera Panamericana. Because America =/= the USA.

Awwww… Please don’t that awful plastic monstrosity be America: The Car. That’s the kind of shit that makes you want to say you’re Canadian when traveling overseas. I’m sick of Unapologetic Redneck America being the only America.

The upholders on a Mk. III Jetta pop out with very little effort and a hip flask neatly fits underneath. Nothing like being under 21 and always having a convenient access to a little bit of whiskey without any fear of people finding it...

Awesome! You’ve got this!

Surprised they did this... Usually these early show cars don’t have the final exhausts fitted as there is still testing and tuning to do before the car is finished. It’s likely why they said they weren’t allowed to pop the hood and why it looked so unfinished in the engine bay. I’ll bet some marketing agency is losing

Just saying, I would read the hell out of that article.

This would make for a really interesting article. I would love to see a list of where all the parts are sourced for a single car. From raw steel to windshield wipers, etc.

I think the real answer has a lot to do with the local auto workers unions. They want consumers to be informed on where their cars are assembled making the assumption that Americans want to ‘buy American.’ It does make for an interesting nugget of information though and educated consumers are a great thing.

This is good headline.

You guys keep pointing this out on FIAT but it’s not really uncommon at all.

I could see this becoming a new genre of customization - ‘Ugged Out’ rides that are built tongue-in-cheek. Aztecs slammed to the ground, AMC Pacers with excessive carbon fiber downforce packages… Actually I kind of like this idea. Please let this be a thing! It would be a slap in the face to every enthusiast without a

The US road racing scene is a joke compared to the UK. There’s a reason most of the F1 teams are in the UK. Racing is much more a part of British culture than it is Stateside.

Cold blooded of the government to promise payment and then pull it. A lot of money was invested based on the government’s promises, now they go back on their word? I’m sure it’s more complicated than that, but I would be really sad if this track just gets discarded… Then again, maybe COTA could start looking at

Lots of dealers have stories like this. At the dealership I used to work for, the worst one was of a salesman who totaled a 575 Superamerica driving it on to a freeway onramp. Somehow he kept his job… Go figure.

Typo… Ha ha. RWD.

Maybe pedigree wasn’t the right word... More like cachet. More than anything else, luxury car buyers want something that other people will find impressive (and they want it for cheap). Source: I worked three + years at one of the largest luxury and exotic car dealerships in the US. Though, I should say that my
