    Well there's a lot more that people are mad about than simply this. I know no major gaming site is going to turn on the hand that feeds them, so I don't expect Kotaku to be in support of this movement, but continuing to misreport this is just shameful and embarrassing, and quite frankly not helping the situation.

    That's just a natural progression of the increased technical capability of modern platforms. Of course games will use features that previously were not available to them. Just because that's the case doesn't mean all games are doomed to degenerate to the status of the FPS genre.

    Speak for yourself. Video games have always been this way, catering to the multiplayer experience more than single-player when practical. The only thing that's changed is the mainstream accessibility to online.
