1. A lot of Jezebel readers don’t read The Root (although they should).

Wait, that doesn’t make sense. 98% of black people who voted were women? Or did 98% of black women voters vote for Jones? Those are two different things and I’m pretty certain that more than 2% of black men voted for Jones.
F. Murray Abraham is an Oscar winning actor. If he tried to get A-lister money for a movie, based on his resume, people would laugh him out of the room. Netflix viewers know Chapelle, Rock and Schumer, although Schumer isn’t in their league talentwise, but who remembers Mo’Nique?
The Book of Peter is attributed to Peter the Apostle, not Jesus. Leviticus was WAY pre-Jesus, and condemned male homosexuality and eating shellfish, along with OKing enslavement of non-Hebrews. The Bible would truly be a “good book” if everything but the teachings of Jesus was tossed.
My takeaway? Old time views on courtship and pursuit cannot co-exist with modern feminism. Do away with “non-verbal cues.” Millennial women cannot harp on affirmative consent and then say “But I gave you non-verbal cues.” Can’t have it both ways.
This is what gets to me about this story. He apologized and left her alone. What else does she want out of this? If there are multiple stories that show a pattern from Aziz, then let’s hear that. I’m sorry she had to go through this on a date but I also don’t know what recourse she wants from him.
I’m 60 and this hurts.
so they shouldn’t report on her sudden death because...???
The Cranberries were the soundtrack to my few good times as a teen. This hurts.
Oh, man. This is such a bummer. Far too young, so talented. I had really hoped 2018 wouldn’t try to live up to 2017's shittiness.
My angst-ridden teen heart cried to her songs regularly. So sad :(
I can’t speak about Neeson, but I do think that the allegations against Keillor are thin to the point of nonsense.
Do you have figures to back that up? Looking at her filmography, I recognized like 6 or 7 of those movies. Wahlberg has been in way more high-profile movies, some of which while not actually very good *cough transformers cough*, were still quite profitable.
I suspect that Wahlberg was cast specifically in order to bring more eyeballs to this film. It’s not like he’s the best actor—he’s serviceable. The studio likely demanded at least one “bankable star;” Wahlberg signed on to the film for prestige cred. Quid pro quo.
I completely disagree. Based solely on the above tweets, there is no difference between what he is doing at work and what most people here do on Deadspin and fuck knows where else when they have down time at work. A pro is a pro, and if the guy can grovel on Twitter hoping a pornstar will like him, and then switch…
Considering what went on at NFL Network, his interaction with these women seems quaint and old fashioned.
I think he should be lauded. Instead of talking sex to people on his payroll for their work, he’s discussing their work to people who get paid for sex.
Really impressed with how much he tweeted at these women. Very prolific, since he was probably doing it one handed.
It is really, really hard for me to believe these interactions had anything to do with sex.
