Exactly! And yet most of the noise after Game 1 was LeBron’s shot at the end of regulation with waaaay too many people claiming “Jordan would have hit that shot.”

I think it comes down to the fact that FIFA (certainly under Blatter, and perhaps much longer) has enjoyed unchecked power for so long.

Amazing and gutsy. The thing that strikes me most about this is that (1) if the Cavs have even the slimmest hope of winning this series, they will need 3 more wins almost identical to last night’s; and (2) the only hope of silencing the troll-fans who dog on LeBron for not being “Jordan enough” for their liking is to

OK, I get that in the U.S. we aren’t madly in love with soccer. But is it so bad that network affiliates just mail it in this bad with proofing before broadcast?

Well at least Amazon can provide the lube... and no, I have no idea what would cause anyone to order this much:

My current job involves working a lot on the inclusion/diversity initiatives of my company, hence I think it’s great to see someone so very much in the public eye take these kinds of steps. I don’t envy the treatment she’ll receive - a cursory look at the comment thread when Rachel Nichols posted this on her Facebook

As seemingly untouchable as Blatter has been, I can’t help but truly feel the end is nigh. Those who were arrested and going to be prosecuted will be scrambling to flip if it means avoiding or shortening jail time. If the US Attorney General and Director of the FBI are being this out in public about all of this, they

I love how people love to use the word “blackball” for such unbelievably wide and inaccurate purposes. This isn’t the 1950’s with McCarthy-ism running rampant and people being branded Communists. This is someone who committed a horrible act and (perhaps worse in the eyes of results-obsessed NFL owners) did so while on

I hadn’t either. It mostly for big corporations, so this is a bit of a new application. I guess I don’t tend to think of FIFA that way, but their tax exempt status is kind of BS anyway.

One more thing I would add on the FCPA. The penalties for it are steep (fines and jail time), but the BIG money comes from “disgorgement” (great word, right?) which is to whack offenders for their ill-gotten profits. Just look at the Siemens piece alone listed in that Gibson Dunn piece - those numbers are

What’s also interesting to note is that the DOJ (as well as the SEC for companies registered under US stock exchanges) has been increasingly aggressive in prosecuting FCPA actions. The law firm, Gibson Dunn, does a mid-year and end-of-year update on these actions and just the charts alone are telling:

Annnnd, what a shocker - one of them got fired.

It’s not even the fact that they said something so dumb... it’s their insistence on trying to justify it with cameras rolling. Do they think their employers will find it sooooo hilarious when they roll into work the next day?

Very good to know - I went and took a look at this for my Verizon account now. The interesting thing was the Relevant Mobile Advertising piece was already selected as “No, I don’t want to participate in Relevant Mobile Advertising.”

Ha! I see what ya did there. Well-played

In your case, a simple carb cycling approach may work well. Essentially, it's a bit of earning your carbs. Have a day where you are lifting? More carbs. Not lifting, cut back on them. Shelby Starnes has written some good stuff on this you can find over at EliteFTS's site.

It really is. I have a coach right now (who is great), but I may return to 5/3/1 again some time. It's just stripped down, easy to follow, awesome to modify for a ton of different goals... and... well... it's enjoyable.

All of those are really good - I recommended 5/3/1 since I think it' the easiest to get set up and going with. Heck, the whole 3X and NOV section of 5/3/1 would be a great option for a ton of people.

The level of bro-dom out there is overwhelming, for sure. In fact, the Internet can pretty much be the best and worst place possible to get advice on this kind of stuff.

I've been coaching youth baseball for a while now and bully coaches are probably one of my hottest button issues. Few things will get my Irish up as quickly as a tool coach taking out years of pent up, unrealized athletic dreams on a kid.
