@sid9221: they are buried beneath 700 meters (around 2100 feet) of solid rock. The rescuers are already discussing possibly faster means of rescue, but they have to take safety into account. Everything they do could cause new cave ins, so they have to be extremely careful.

@dave_t: the shelter is about that size, but they are free to move through the mine.

@leesie: They have a backhoe, so they can probaly dig and cover this areas to avoid smell and disease

@minibeardeath: The are where they are is the newest part of the mine, and the refuge was specially reinforced above and beyond the rest of the tunnel. The experts on site say that the risk of new cave-ins is very low in that area.

@dave_t: actually they have a lot more space... the tunnel down the mine is over 3 miles long, and the collapse happened about a third of the way down, and they have been moving through the tunnels looking for water, supplies and maybe an escape route. In the first audio communication they even said they are not using

@bananafishtoday: Just because Gizmodo, for some freak reason, doesn't cover this phone doesn't mean it's irrelevant.

i use the AMD Overdrive stress test and SuperPI for CPU, Memtest for RAM and 3dMark06 and FurMark for GPU

ooooohhhhh... a fiat 500 (screenshot 24) i love that car (and the 600 too)

@Bleemo: both red and green apples pale in front of the mighty Fuji Apple anyway...

i know a lot of people here in Chile who want to see it, but rumors point to it not releasing here until next year...

@TiKiMaN1: joining you in the finger crossing, but i think Ubisoft Montreal is gonna be too busy doing AC sequels and spin offs to remember that they left us with a pretty nasty cliffhanger at the end of PoP :(

@1Mystic-G: i couldn't give you a number, but late on big games even my quad core can begin to falter at the end of turns, when it has to calculate moves for my units and enemy units...

i love that the first pic is from Prince of Persia.... such an underrated game, faced of accusations of being too easy and too short... It was a great story, and if you played it slow enough, taking time to exhaust all the dialog between the characters and take in all the views and collect all of the seeds, it was

@1Mystic-G: you would think that, but when you start having tons of units to manage and render, even Civ4 can get nasty

Starcraft 2, Team Fortress 2 and LOTRO F2P beta

@dtptampa: hmmm... last time i went to the U.S. was in 07 and i saw a few symbian phones... it has been a long time though...

@ThePriceofEggsinMalta: it may be because most Symbian phones are not that flashy... you've probably seen your share of N95s and N73s (for example), you just didn't notice them :P

where are you people getting the idea that Symbian phones are not Smartphones? don't confuse S40 with S60 just because they have similar names... S40 is not related to Symbian in any way...

Here's a hint Mr. Iwata: perhaps if there were more official releases on this parts of the world (Chile, in my case) we wouldn't have to choose between buying from shady importers that sell stuff at 2-3 times their price and piracy, and more people would pay for software.
