Train up for it in sections, I got up to two miles in one summer but no way was it ever a competititve speed. I was just happy to be able to do 2 without dying. Note that some tris do not feature calm water. Oceans can really screw with you. That’s is the only part of a tri that worried me, bikes and running feature…
