I never played the original, but when Remnant II came on game pass, I saw enough buzz about it that I wanted to try it out. I’m really glad I did. I think that if I had some folks who I could regularly play it with, I would sink even more time, but getting through the campaign and then doing a few adventure mode

One of my thoughts this year is that I was going to buy more 4k Blue Rays now that I got a proper HDR TV, but I guess Best Buy won’t be the place that happens.

Starfield deserves to be on this list over half of these games.

Basically every game writer I’ve read or listened to on podcasts adore Outer Wilds, and I could just not get into it at all.

Have been waiting for RE2 remake to pop up on Game Pass and I’m glad it’s just about here.

I haven’t watched the maze runner movies and I’m not familiar with Wes Ball’s work, so maybe I will be pleasantly surprised, but I’m not sure that rejecting LOTR as inspiration is a great sign for me. There is so much potential out there with the different races in Hyrule, that a LOTR esque adventure doesn’t sound bad

I tell my wife to stop moving the headlight switch from Auto in our CX5 almost everyday. lol

I’ll continue to play more Starfield, but I also just got a Thurstmaster rig complete with chair, pedals, and stick shift, so a healthy dose of Forza is also in the books. I’ve done a few races so far and I can never play a racing game with a controller again.

I’m also on the camp of preferring the Xbox controller, but what has really gotten me attached to it now is the Xbox Elite controller. I can’t even imagine playing a game now without the under buttons. It’s so much more intuitive, and specially when playing shooters, the fact that you don’t need to remove your thumb

Dogs with booster packs please!

Lightfall really was a disappointment, regardless of how much it sold. People were high on the game since Witch Queen was a good expansion, despite some of the slow seasons, but the campaign in Lightfall was so meh, and then that raid was so easy, that I started getting bored, and by the end of the first season this

Yeah, I believe that at one point the Wii was the fastest selling console or something like that, so I should’ve phrased it as such. Just going off memory as it’s not worth researching, but PS2 sure was amazing. I personally bought 3 of them. :)

Nintendo needs to make sure they get this right, because in the past they could afford to have consoles like the Game Cube and the Wii U not be as successful, because they were always printing money with their handhelds. This time around, they don’t have that luxury anymore, and while they really nailed the Switch,

Obviously personal taste, but I think the original PS5 is hideous, and it’s crazy size didn’t help. This only fixed (maybe) the size issue, but still an eye sore. Maybe it will come available in different colors? A black version would be nicer imo.

It’s a good analogy. In the interest of not breaking any insider trading rules, don’t sell/buy stock after getting a tip from your CEO friend. :)

Hmm, the thought of having a card with my misspelling of Fox McCloud (Fox Macloud) on it is very tempting.

So many good looking games, but I’ll be real with myself, I’ll only be playing Starfield and Zelda ToTK.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen the Kotaku fish.

126Gb should take a solid 20 min to download at 800mbs. Crazy how long these download times can get. :p

Yes and no. Destiny has had some seasons with content that is incredibly fun, and filled with good to great story content. But Lightfall was so disappointing after the excellent Witch Queen, that it turned me off entirely. This past season was the first one I missed entirely since Beyond Light came out, and now I
