As others have pointed out, you can't look into this too much. The loss was due largely to acquisitions and not necessarily because of the company not doing well. When you drop 180mil in one transaction, it is likely that it will take a little while to make up for that.

I agree with you but even surprising is that the Wii has a decent 8.5 games/console ration. I understand that probably includes the Wii Sports that came bundled with the game outside Japan, but it's not bad at all. I guess this is not the first PS3 exclusive (I know that this is not a Sony developed title) that was "inspired" by a Nintendo game. Though, this one is a lot more blatant. Regardless, I still see the merit in the game and I will probably play it, but I don't really expect it to be as good as Smash Bros.

Lol, a smash brothers clone in 1080 is still a smash brothers clone. What does Nintendo have? A sweet game that Sony is making a copy of with their own (much less iconic characters). Having said all of that, I still want to play it, I just don't understand why you would call out Nintendo on this.

The crazy thing is that despite the game cube being the lowest selling console lifetime (not including 3DS because it is so new) it has the best games per console ratio with just about 10 games per console owned. I know that i drove that average up because I still own over 20 game cube games.
