My Amazon Prime account was set to renew last December and after a slew of bad press for Bezos, I decided enough was enough and put my foot down. I did not renew, and over the entire course of the year I found only ONE thing I NEEDED to order off Amazon (for which I just asked my roommate to order it for me; it was a

The first one is available on Xbox Game Pass, and it’s on the PC side as well, so if you have a buck (they are currently running a promo for Ultimate, 3 months for $1) you can check it out...along with a much larger library of games.

Yeah...Dead Island killed my ability to trust any cinematic trailer worth a damn.

Nope, I was totally into the game and by the end of the trailer I was just like...”Well this will be another lame shooter”. Guess I’m just waiting on a decent sale for PVZ: Battle for the Neighborhood to jump back in to a “cutesy” and colorful action game.

Honestly after playing the Garden Warfare series I would be totally down for an anthropomorphic animal gun game.  If a developer had the right style to pin it down it could be fun for far more than 13 year olds (I’m a couple decades beyond that).  Shooters all end up looking so similar so having a unique hook would

Weird West reminds me so much of Hard West with the isometric camera...but I imagine that the gameplay won’t be XCom-esque, so I’m interested to see more.

Stadia right now is a paid beta test...that’s why people are crapping on it. When / If the roll out the free version of Stadia maybe it will be worth a damn but right now there just isn’t much value to a $130 streaming device that plays games that have been available on consoles for a very long time. I would wager to

Not exactly. If you request a refund, then you are ostensibly no longer owning the game instead getting it through Pro.  Thus if you let Pro lapse you no longer have access to that game.  If you don’t request a refund for either game, you can stop paying for Pro and still be able to play those games.

Because both of those games were discounted I believe when purchased.  If you don’t plan on keeping Stadia Pro active you will lose access to those games when you stop paying for pro.  You may only intend on keeping Pro for the 3 months required by the launch bundle, to let it lapse, at which point you would still

When everyone quit it pretty much killed the site...I click over to the page by accident / habit every now and then and the last article they posted was about Kellen Winslow Jr which went up less than a full week after the staff bolted.

How the hell do you have an article praising Spotify Premium without a single mention of the ability to add on ad-supported Hulu for free?

Yeah...everything you just said makes me think that Microsoft is watching this launch very closely and noting what is bad and what works so that they can launch XCloud with the hooks of their Game Pass and pretty much swoop in to capture the streaming market with an established pedigree and library of games.

At the moment, yes.  They are planning to have a free option starting in 2020, where you only need to buy the games not subscribe.

I know it sounds weird...but the Waterworld stage show is like a billion times better than the film. It’s great if you like live stunts. I have a Season Pass at Universal Hollywood and I always stop by to check it out on the slow nights before I leave the park (since it’s right by the entrance).

It’s not a whole world

It’s a free, colorful, battle royal game with tons of personality.  It caught fire particularly with young kids who could play it on their phone (again, free) and team with their friends.  I am going to say a large part of why you don’t understand this game is your age.  I too didn’t quite get it until I the teens I

Holy fuck, would you be willing to walk from the far north end of NYC to the south end without using a Subway? Because if not STFU. Here’s a visual aide, and this is only for LA PROPER, as in areas that are actually Los Angeles, not areas that are LA Adjacent like Irvine, South Bay, and other areas people generally

...To which are you replying? Long John Silvers or Popeye’s...

Either way, thank you NON LOCAL for thinking you know the geography of Los Angeles better than someone who has lived here nearly 10 years. Yes in the entire city of Los Angeles there are 8 Popeye’s, this does not in anyway contradict my complaint that in

Oh god, there are sometimes I just need a plank of chicken or fish and living in LA means...yeah not F*ing happening.  As it is I have to go up to Hollywood or all the way down to USC to try this chicken sandwich, but I could have sworn there was another Popeye’s near DTLA as recently as 2 years ago...

I figured Flying was weak to Rock because “kill 2 birds with 1 stone”...and Nintendo loves themselves weird ass logic like that.

Agreed. It’s so bizarre to still come to Kotaku and The Onion without instinctively clicking on Deadspin.
