What, you don't like my comment??

Sums up everything wrong with this article. Sam is worried the Note has the potential to penetrate his relatively unchallenged market. If bigger does mean better than Apple better get some enlargement pills, or they could be caught with their pants down.

Agreed- competition is good. It seems like Sam is more bothered by the fact that someone would try to make something new that might challenge apple, rather than the design of the product itself. If he were genuinely looking out for consumers, the tech industry as a whole he would see the more competing products, the

I know these type of articles are designed to have people react and comment outraged at the presumptions made in the article- so all I'm going to say is that even if this is badly designed, it doesn't matter because the more choices available on the market, the better. Also, we learn from failure- so don't be so quick

I only use G+ for work, cause I have to but apart from that- not a single person I know actively uses G+, and many of my friends are engineers, gamers and overall "tech" people. Maybe it depends on the person, but for me it's definitely abandoned.

We're seeing different things then.

Also, the +1 link on every article is prominent, FB and Twitter links hidden in dropdown menu...

Damn! My board said it was supposed to ship April 2nd, gotta check again now! Definitely excited to get mine.

Tolerance = Censorship

Right, it's idiotic in a "We're all going to end up like idiocracy (the film)" kind of way? I agree that this is probably to save the school from liability and having people object to what they're kids are learning- but at some point if we just keep dumbing things down no one will learn anything all because some nuts

Same. Did a quick calculation in my head of what io9 (other gawker sites) adds to my day versus how I value my accounts not being linked - turned out in favor of linking them up.

But equally, the number of interconnected REAL accounts the LESS safe you are. Yet this is what you are asking (with a disclaimer that you CAN link anon accounts) - If the path of least resistance is linking accounts which you are currently logged into, obviously many people will choose that route. In short, this will

Agreed. There's a sense of entitlement going around on the internet that is extremely off-putting.

So now if my Gawker account is ever compromised (again) - not only will they have access to my Gawker account- but to my Twitter account as well. How exactly is this better?

Agreed- anger should not be directed towards Charlie, Annalee and the rest of the io9 team but towards Gawker. I'm sure (and I hope) this is something forced on io9, since they should know better being forward-thinking people from the future.

Good luck to you, stranger.

Yeah, an increase in linked accounts is a detriment to security, not improving security as this post suggests. Since Gawker accounts have been compromised before- this is a little worrisome to me.

I resent having to connect this account to another social media account- but forgive it for now cause io9 is so awesome.

The fact that you already need to be an HBO subscriber for HBO Go makes the Xbox 360 a non-cable killer. In fact it builds a dependency on the antiquated cable system.
