In my opinion the alternate dimension was actually a pretty good idea- though instead of a place they made up to all meet up after death (which was ridiculous) I would have had it be created as a consequence of the attempt to destroy the island. I'll explain:

Thanks to everyone below for suggestions. Basically I'm talking digital files- I know I can buy DVD's, Blu-Rays and rip them... but then I have piles of media that I don't use. I was hoping there was a way of getting digital files legally so I wouldn't have to resort to using torrents- but this seems like a pipe dream.
