In my opinion the alternate dimension was actually a pretty good idea- though instead of a place they made up to all meet up after death (which was ridiculous) I would have had it be created as a consequence of the attempt to destroy the island. I'll explain:

Thanks to everyone below for suggestions. Basically I'm talking digital files- I know I can buy DVD's, Blu-Rays and rip them... but then I have piles of media that I don't use. I was hoping there was a way of getting digital files legally so I wouldn't have to resort to using torrents- but this seems like a pipe dream.

Not sure but I've heard compatibility can be difficult as well as sometimes it may be hard to nail down what kind of system you're running.

Interesting question, but if unemployment is paying for it then why not? It can only help with getting a job but you have to keep in mind even then it's no guarantee. Even those with bachelors can have trouble- sometimes the degree is just a matter of how much you get paid after getting the job.

Is there a fully legal way to have a HTPC setup without any DRM? Does this exist? I can buy all the iTunes movies/TV I want - but I don't think that will play nice with XBMC.
