I was a little upset the GTI and Mini placed tenth and ninth respectively. I had them as shoo-ins for second and first.

And now I'm going to go watch the movie. Because Mini.

Congratulations, Robb! Glad to see you got the gearbox issues worked out.

I have Asperger's Syndrome, so planes, trains, and cars have always been an interest of mine. I got started on cars through racing games like GT3, where I learned the joys of being in control of your car at the limit and lapping the track faster than your friends. I still didn't know much about cars, but I loved

Thanks, Bill. Those are great tips.

The Track at Centennial. Definitely the best outdoor track in Colorado. Very technical, very fast. One of the workers claims to have done 80mph in a rental.

Do you have any advice for a college student looking to rally? It seems to me that I can't do both simultaneously, but maybe I'm wrong. What are your secrets to rallying on the cheap?

Meh. I didn't say there weren't downsides to the idea. This is probably a last-ditch effort.

Just use method #5 and leave food wrappers in the back.

I don't care if it's in a Quattro or not, I just want to go rallying. I hate being a broke college student.

I saw an incomplete build for sale on eBay for a good $50k. It only needed the interior and paint.

Agreed. It seems Jalopnik can do it for their main posts (or at least, they used to be able to), but the rest of us are stuck sitting through the useless bits.

If you click share on the YouTube page it will give you an option of where to start the video. Not sure if that starting point translates over to Jalopnik though. I'll test it out with another drag racing video.
