I commented on another site that I think this app is a terrible idea, because what's to stop someone like an angry ex or an ex of an ex from doing this. Or hell, even an abusive spouse? There are just some things people shouldn't have the power to do with an app.
I will probably never make it out of the greys, but I think the "bunny lobby" view should be presented. It is more about what the definition of "humane" is:
You know how horse girls are a thing? Well, as a kid, I was a bunny girl. I was obsessed with them. All bunnies all the time. My mom, who obviously knew this, tricked me into eating rabbit and laughed her ass off when she told me what it was after I'd eaten it. I was 8. I am now a vegetarian.
Clicked on the Vice article about Keegan's Kult. Saw the vest he is wearing in the second photo. Yeah, dude is certifiable.
Everything else is irrelevant. That bastard is off the streets, that's all I'm happy for.
Yeah, but you know it is shit education. I had a roommate my Freshman year in college who went to an very expensive private Christian school, and she thought Alaska was in the Caribbean because she had only ever seen it in a box and the bottom of a map of the US. I was talking about driving to Alaska and she was…
They aren't allowed to be alone together. The daughters aren't allowed to go anywhere without a chaperone.
I think you underestimate the crazy of Quiverfull folks. The kids are always chaperoned when together before marriage to keep them "accountable."
I got to see him in concert 20 years ago. One of the most amazing live performances I've ever seen.
the deep pits of my depression scare me sometimes......its at that low point that i whip out my Nusrat cd's.....i agree.....i wish he could be here now to give us ever more of his blessed music !
Given the success of Two and a Half Men, Broke Girls, and TBBT you need a laugh track, stilted acting, and a dumb as fuck audience to stay on the air. I actually liked Michael's show.
I always thought Manhattan looked like a flaccid dick.
As a women of color currently serving her term as an enlisted member of the United States military, I thought I might comment. They shaved my head in boot camp because I refused to have my hair cornrowed, just as I refuse to chemically relax my hair. Not to put too fine a point on it, I did this voluntarily, and I…
This. The UA ad is great because it's about not listening to the naysayers and working hard to accomplish something. Yes, it's about her body, but only because her body is the tool necessary to accomplish her goal of being a ballet dancer. (Also, it's a workout apparel brand, so the brand is all about the human body.)
Never gonna happen.
I think there's a difference between Misty Copeland's type of "empowerment" advertising and those like the Dove Beauty Campaign. In Copeland's Under Armour ads, the focus is not on her body as an object that needs to be physically improved, nor is it about promoting the importance of one's physical appearance; it's…
Here's the difference between the Under Armour ad and the Dove ads: The UA ad was about overcoming challenges, working hard, and persevering in spite of the naysayers while the Dove ads (and their ilk) are about shaming women for their feelings that products like Dove perpetuate.
it't the ONLY way to say it, no matter what.
