This is the reason very large trucks, think F550s, have suspensions that feel like they are made from concrete.

Couldn’t resist doing two stories. I worked at a place where the GM sounded a lot like the Ranger owner. Only more foul mouthed. We were in a rental building and there were lift beams in the warehouse. He came to me and asked how much he could lift from one of those beams. “um 2 tons”. “That’s what’s painted on it,

And he landed it perfectly on the pallet - well done!

The real hero here is the “Mastercraft Avenger G/T” tire, which took all that weight without popping like a balloon.

I give him kudos for not running over the assholes giving commentary.

10+ years, at least 5 impacts, no one is going to sue if they can’t stay on the road. There is also a stop sign in my yard about 3 feet away from the rock. How many people sue when they hit stop signs? The last person to hit it was a neighbors cleaning lady. We all laugh about it. Its not hidden, its a rock the size

I bet the same idiots who can’t drive well enough to stay out of your yard consider suing for the damages due to their own incompetence.  I love when stupidity is painful.

Things to take away from this video other than the owner is an idiot.

How to remove it?
Tie the wood base thing to a tree and drive away.Simple.
I mean it would damage the bed and tailgate for sure, but i dont think these guy care about such trivialities

Heh.

About 15 years ago I got to see the aftermath of a guy who tried to steal a granite surface plate from his work in his Ranger. The surface plate was 4ftx8ft and 1ft thick. Those things weigh about 2 tons. He used an overhead crane to hoist it up and set it down on his 1/4 ton truck, flattened the back half. I mean

Yes, people’s “brilliance” reigns supreme everywhere:

When you have that much weight on a pallet, all you pull out is the piece of the pallet you tied to.

First off, I am a competent equipment operator, and I personally would have refused to load that rock with that piece of equipment. Probably I would have refused to load it at all since it clearly was more weight than that vehicle was qualified to support. (If forced, I would have loaded it with a forklift. Never a

“If I had 1 minute to load a boulder, I’d spend 59 seconds minutes being careful about it and 1 second realizing ‘I didn’t properly think this through’

Reminds me of when I was working for a sandblasting company and luckily my boss was driving out to a material pickup and managed to turn the truck into a V without even exceeding the payload capacity (probably) by loading everything right next to the cab.

The owner was surprisingly good-natured about the whole thing, as far as I could tell. The operator did not hit the truck. Mission accomplished!

And, uh, how were these goofballs planning to remove the rock from the Ranger when it got to its destination?

I love how Bubba & Son are hassling the minicat driver. “I thought you was an operator!” and telling him how to do his job. Not shown is the part where they insisted he put the rock in their tiny truck, and shouted down his objections. I’m sure the operator was grinning ear-to-ear the rest of the day.

THIS IS A HUGE STEP.
