Self driving cars are still decades away from being universally good. They’re still a work in progress in places like Arizona that never see inclement weather. Current driverless cars would be less than useless in a Canadian winter.

The US isn’t going to war with China. They’re too dependent on each other economically. The best I’ve ever heard about that situation is if the US goes to war with China they’re going without pants.

Nor do they mention the many atrocities they committed on the civilians in occupied Korea, China, etc. The Japanese of WW2 were brutal monsters.

I’ve read before that burning alive is the worst pain imaginable. I’d rather be instantly vaporized or even die of cancer decades later than burn to death.

So, in fact, millions of lives were ended just so America could show the world what their new weapons could do.

It’s important to separate the art from the artist. You can hate the latter and still enjoy the former.

Or they could have gotten the technology via some means from yet an even more advanced race and not really understand how it works. Would mean they have that one super advanced technology and the rest is significantly more pedestrian.
