Yes, because I’m going to bike 20 Km to work and another 20 back every day. That would take far too long.

You may want to lose the anger. You’ll live longer.

WTF are you talking about? “Illegally driving between the car and the sidewalk/curb” ???? That’s where we’re supposed to be, idiot.

See, you are mistaken. They are in the middle of their lane. Your attitude results from your mistaken thought that you somehow own the road more than the cyclist who has the right of way in front of you.

I’m a vehicle on the road, just like you are.

Have you ever been driving in a car and had to go slowly? Maybe you are lost and trying to read the addresses. Maybe you had mechanical problems. But either way, you aren’t driving faster than 20.

The city I live in built a bunch of bike lanes in the downtown core. Fucks up everything. All those roads are down a lane and parking has been reduced in a city where there wasn’t enough parking to begin with.

Many people hate cyclists because cyclists are assholes who don’t obey the rules of the road. At least daily I see multiple cyclists blowing red lights/stop signs because they can’t be arsed enough to stop. They also weave in and out of traffic and in general act like entitled douches.

Ever stop to think that cyclists give the finger to drivers because drivers constantly put cyclists’ lives in danger? But yes, it’s very damaging to drivers to have to see a middle finger

As a cyclist, it is also wildly relaxing to kick laughing asshole motherfuckers like you in the teeth with a swift driveby kick.

Not necessarily true. Many modern high compression or turbocharged cars can run on premium or regular gas. The ECU just changes the mapping. For example the new CX-9 2.5 Turbo makes 227 hp on regular vs over 250 on premium. That 23 hp is nothing to sneeze at and if performance is what you are after you should consider

I buy the stuff from Costco that’s 4 x 4L for like $8. Good for down to -45C.

They’ll like you for the work you do, not because you have a great smile and bring donuts on mondays.

Oh shut up. This is two comments that you’ve posted the exact same thing. Just because someone didn’t get a job in their field right out of college doesn’t mean their degree is worthless. and STEM is not the end all be all of useful degrees. Lots of people with accounting degrees (which is very useful) don’t get a job

That’s horrendously inconvenient when the drive itself is already four and a half hours. I’m not adding another 45 minutes onto my trip to recharge a shitty car. Until the range drastically increases to be comparable to an ICE car, it won’t serve my needs and I won’t be buying one.

Until range drastically increases I’m not interested.

If one lives in Canada, one should definitely be bothered by the limited range. I go back to my home town about 6 or 7 times a year to visit my parents and grandparents. It’s a 300 mile drive from where I currently live and as such is well outside of modern electric car range.

True, but the core technology, the internal combustion engine, has remained relatively unchanged for decades. You can still get a fairly similar range from a 1990's car as you can a modern one (comparing cars of similar quality level).

With advancing technology that just means the used market is of poorer quality.
