I see this as a good litmus test for the intelligence of society. I give humanity an F-.

The world isn’t as black and white as “good guys” and “bad guys.” You’d be surprised how quickly a “good guy” can do something reprehensible given the right circumstances.

Arguing with these NRA types is pointless. They all have the mentality of “they can pry my guns from my cold, dead hands.”

I also think a major difference is in Canada it’s a hell of a lot harder to get a hand gun than just driving to your nearest sporting goods store. Rifles are fine, they have a good purpose in hunting. Hand guns, on the other hand, have no purpose outside of killing people.

So narrow minded. They go away if they’re confiscated and destroyed. Guns aren’t these magically things that just pop into existence.

All that means is the gun laws in Chicago haven’t failed since the source of the guns has bypasses the system. A city doesn’t exist in isolation. For something like gun laws to be effective they have to be done at a national level.
