Working on our own fox body gambler at the moment... Fox in a tux, aka Lincoln LSC.

All clever names aside, I’m disappointed that no one mentioned ford flex. When I think tank like armor coupled with the oddity of being paid to LARP, I think the equally oddball ford flex makes a great choice. Tons of room for kids or armor, and with the parallel parking assist functionality, you never have to worry

Cool. Lots of pictures and details. The car didn’t even hit 200whp... Stock fuel pump and stock coil pack would have been just fine for even more savings. The stock fuel pump is more adequate than people give it credit. The walbro 255 is a noisy mf’er. I run a 190 in my car at 230whp, and I found out later I didn’t

People need to get a grip about this whole situation. I for one am glad to provide a helping hand.

Ive ripped out a juniper bush in my yard, gone camping in moab, picked up lumber, steel, and 4x8 sheets. I’ve driven long road trips, up and over the continental divide, in deep blizzard snow, and I’ve towed up to the tow limit. I’ve had 5 adults in the cab, I’ve had my dog hanging out on the flat rear cabin with the

Nice! Some people just look for a $500 beater. I like to spend a little more money because I like getting to the end of the day, and those $500 beaters will show their problems when pushed. Things like radiator hoses, radiator, or other problems waiting to happen. Locally a group of 3 guys raced an 80's cressida that

Yes, I just took the dive going into the modified class for this year. Although I will be registering it as a classic car and taking it to the occasional cars and coffee... Or y’know, out for snow drifts. It’s still very much a work in progress. The back will not be fully open like that as the rules still require the

Hard tops are pretty much $700-1000 every time they trade hands. You don’t buy a hard top so much as rent it. Pretty safe return on your purchase.

I can’t remember, but you do need a factory hard top. You need the surface area to disburse the forces of a roll over. A roll bar on its own will just dig into the dirt. While roll overs are rare at our speeds, they do happen and I think I’d feel much safer with a roll bar and the mandatory hard top.

Glad you had fun! Rallycross is a blast and I actually prefer the cumulative lap times. You can take big risks for big gains in speed, but if your gamble doesn’t pay off, the consistent driver can take the win. If you’re consistent and fast, then you’re a real threat. I also love the massive amounts of runs you can

What an incredible accomplishment! What I think is sad is all the people that say “yeah but its asphalt.” Pikes peak hasn’t been all dirt in a very long time, and even a few years ago the amount of dirt still left was pretty miniscule. It didn’t make the road necessarily more challenging, it made tire selection more

How can Jaguar exteriors be so good and the interiors so terrible? Their console layouts always feel 10 years behind the curve

I’ve got my ridgeline if we need a truck (even if it’s not a truck-truck). buick regal tour x would be too expensive, atleast for a few years. I had a 2012 regal GS and loved it (hail storm destroyed it). I think buick and GM delivers a lot of value for the money. I didn’t think the VW’s could be had for cheap enough,

Volkswagen/audi is just the german thing. My family has had bad luck with their audi’s (4000, S4, S8) and its always weird things like electronics or the entire head assemblies needing replaced on the S8). I’ve shopped for mini coopers for myself and didn’t find good reliability out of them. Not enough experience to

Particularly in the escape, it has the 2.0 or 2.4 ecoboost, I can’t remember, but my friend was a service writer for ford and he told me about a number of the problems and the solutions under warranty. He said theres a TSB that literally calls for replacing the whole motor under warranty if the vehicle has the issue.

It doesn’t tick all the boxes though. She doesn’t have the back up camera or sensors, shes starting to have stereo issues, but its the power that’s the biggest issue. Now, all those sensors and back up camera and stereo could be solved on amazon for like $300, but the power can’t. She’s driven a few of my cars the

Not sure about those. I was looking at the acadia for myself, and a GM mechanic friend said to avoid that platform altogether. Tons of issues and the 3.6 V6's are nothing like the tank like 3800 series engine GM had. So that’s the only thing I can say to those. In that same range would be cadillac CTS-4, but that’s a
