I'm in the middle of this company tech thing, but I want to say this: this is exactly the right thing to do when people aren't paying proper attention to a real problem; it's not something I completely ignored but I obviously didn't give it proper attention, and I'm sorry about that; give me about 24-48 hours to

in the 2002 cartoon her dad may have been the character ridiculously named Fisto

Oh yeah, the star system was awesome. It was also a semi-deterrent, because pink commenters knew that it was pretty much impossible for them to have their shit seen.

You could also possibly deputize commenters with banning power if they've proven they could handle the power without abusing it (re: not me). More cops roaming the streets.

This is a worthy and interesting article as a conversation starter but I have questions here...Your no. 2 says teaching critical thinking is "really" indoctrination, but that's kind of an oversimplification, isn't it? I mean, any education is indoctrination if we privilege one aspect of it over another?

My husband had sex with no less than 70 different women at age 13—including an actual dungeon dominatrix. He also dealt coke. Let's get real about the realm of what constitutes "ninth-grade level."

I think it's possible that the genitalia is an afterthought with me. Like, my physical form is so off, that I don't particularly pay attention to my genitals, unless I'm having sex. I wonder if once I transition further whether I might have more dysphoria about my genitals than I do now.

I've spent far too long searching for that damn thing without luck but there are many similar works out there. This wikihow on overcoming lust has some awesome advice (avoid lust by learning decorative braiding!) and pictures like these which remind me of that book:

Have much contact with 9th graders? Their typical conversations would make many adults blush, because most adults have forgotten what it was like to be exploring this whole new thing called sexuality, and most teens these days have direct, uncensored access to more information than people of older generations can

"excitement," "plateau," "orgasm" and "resolution"

Now I am on the case as well. This must be shared with all of Jez.

So you want kids wearing gimp suits that haven't been properly cared for!?

People: I'm pretty sure the part about bondage is simply acknowledging that it exists, rather than detailed instructions on how to properly clean and maintain your gimp suit.

My point is, it's out there. Kids know it is exists. I don't see anything wrong with using a textbook that touches on the subject. And it's a single paragraph, according to KPIX. Throwing out the whole book is exactly how you get kids that don't know their vagina from their urethra.

yea, you just confirmed how much of an issue it still is with your microagressive comment.

I was being tongue in cheek about it, but I agree entirely. When ever I mention my ADD I get those "Oh, yeah, right" looks thanks to the overdiagnose craze of the 90's. It's at times hard to deal with and some more education and awareness on it would probably go a long way in easing that burden.

If only ADD got this much attention.

I'm amazed he has his laptop that close to the water. Would not risk.
