"Trans gender identity" works just fine. "Transgenderism" is kind of not a thing, because it implies a belief or thought system.

It's related to homophobia, more or less. There's a bit of an intersection where some self-identified "feminists" with intense internalized sexism both ways and/or unfortunate levels of trauma sort of form a transphobic Voltron with the homophobes every now and again as well.
