I'M SUPER EXCITED!

Nice way to quote something you know nothing about and use a logical fallacy at the same time.

Of course there's a reason for it, heels are stupid in any combat situation, they don't fit in the power armor. There's no justification for adding heels, rocket or not, make them rocket boots where the rockets are on the back of the leg. They stick out like a sore thumb, there's 10 other ideas that could have been

I love it when people strawman at the same time they're spending pretty much every one of their posts accusing everyone else of strawmanning. Well done, you have officially become Meta, The Galactic Representative Of Internet Arguments. Your Justice League invite should be arriving shortly.

Here, anyone who wants to argue can take it up with the original art.

Assuming heel/thrusters are the familiar Space Jump Boots upgrade from many Metroid games... How the hell do they usually fit into the Varia Suit boots?!

I think it's pretty telling that high heels are as pervasive as they are in video games. Entire games where every female character has them even (say... TERA, for example, nearly Diablo 3 for that matter too.)

Everyone defending Samus' comedic sexualization in a nutshell:

Here's a simple rule they can follow: when drawing a female character take your other hand off your cock.

Well at least skin tight clothes make sense when you spend a good chunk of time in a metal exosuit.

I don't even play Metroid, but I think having a thinner one under a set of incredibly large, heavy armor makes perfect sense.

They've also massively retconned her height and everything... made her smaller and more "feminine".

It is awesome you find like these boots, but that doesn't mean everyone else should.

I know. Though in all fairness her newer zero suit is better than the original equivalent (the purple bikini in the first game). I just wish they could have made them boots instead. Their pushing on my suspension of disbelief with her heels. And this is a game with the Wii-fit trainer, but at least her/his clothing

She's always been about combat efficiency. Last I checked, she didn't strip down to a bikini until the fight was over and she could rest. Samus' shtick is that she fights to the best of her ability; that includes being agile and not inhibited by goddamn high-heels.

I like Samus, great character.

:( I will always remember this Samus.

they are weird in how they dont work with the color scheme. when i first saw the ics i thought they were a new power up, like the bunny ears.
