If by stealing the main plot from Watchmen, you mean the possibility of NYC being blown up by a detonating super powered person... that wasn’t any part of the plot of Watchmen until the movie, which was 3 years after Heroes began. And even then, that’s the only similarity between the two.

How was it watchmen theres no time travel in watchmen theres no straight up murder of a superhero friend in Heros that drives the plot. Theres no threat of world war in Heroes i dont see the Watchmen connection.
