The name Toique is a mash-up of "toy" and "unique".
I think what you say makes a lot of sense. I don't really believe that there's a sexism problem in games, and yet articles like this - as you say - make out like it's a bigger issue than it may actually be.
I'm not going to disagree, I think that your solution and mine are more-or-less the same thing.
Ok then, so why are people complaining about sexism in games if it's not that prevalent? That's what I mean by there not being a very big window for true "sexism" to be existing games. There's no real argument to back it up.
I just want to know how big a proportion, because if there's few women compared to men in those roles, then you have to ask why that's the case.
It's pretty simple. Regardless of whether or not you think the depiction of women in games is sexist, the fact is that the majority of games are made by men, for men.
Or one in every few people does this sort of thing and there is no scapegoat like the internet or countries...
Ha, just scrolling down after reading your last comment. Now that's racist! :P
I know you don't really mean the racist thing, but damn that irritates me. Because there are people who would sincerely get offended because it's "racist". And there is not a single racist thing about what he said.
I think this is in some newspapers
