Hearted for the dogs and Hyperbole and a Half reference. Rectangles. Makes me laugh more than it should.

Cocoa Bluemound. Except that sounds a little like I have some sort of gynecological disease...

Fuck yeah, Wisconsin! One year, I ate seven cream puffs in two days.

What if I was in love with all of them? Does that mean I'm just a ho-bag?

I can't find the exact source, but it has been said that the constant, small shifts in balance required to ride a horse stimulate a certain area of the brain associated with learning.

Nobody has mentioned the Survivor contestant, and only two people in seven years have brought up Harry Potter.

I named my poodle Parvati. Being a obscure deity, nobody knows what her name means, and comments on it thusly, requiring multiple mini-mythology lessons on every trip to the dog park. It also has the bonus of making me feel like a big, culturally appropriating goober whenever I visit my Indian veterinarian. Ah, to

Not just a baby hippo, but a baby pygmy hippo. Dwarf or pygmy species are cuter by a factor of at least 10. Also: Bebe is the size of a head of lettuce! Eeeeeee!

Somehow this made me think of Feingold, bathed in golden light, holding a triton, and yelling, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" at Palin from across the Mississippi...

That is clearly just a folded paper napkin paper clipped to his regular collar. Which clearly has an argyle pattern. Call me when you have some real news (scoffs)...

Super-relaxing youtube videos. Go.

This Milwaukeean is sending you invisible internet hearts!

I spent the day in Madison yesterday, and I plan on going back again tomorrow. This protest is one of the most amazing things I've seen in my entire life. Seventy THOUSAND people, crammed into a very small area, and things have remained completely peaceful. My mom is a teacher, and I am proud to stand next to her

@pinkkittie27: They grow like fingernails. As the bird eats, the beak wears down, so it's constantly growing to replace itself.

Um, clearly their training in gun safety was ineffective, considering the way they're holding those weapons...

The incident also may not be related to the freeze tag flash mob. Even if it was, there's still no excuse for this behavior. And freeze-tag really would not have been a good idea, considering the layout, atmosphere, and traffic level of the mall.

@twowishes: Tosa is pretty white, but Mayfair is in a funky spot where it's also about a mile away from the city of Milwaukee, and a lot of the city busses make a stop at the mall. This isn't the first case of rowdy and/or violent teens at Mayfair. The newspaper had the good graces not to mention race in the story,

Reading the comments on the MJS site, virtually all of them mention that most of the rioters are non-white. I don't know what mentioning that is supposed to mean to those reading those comments, except to invite more racist comments. At the same time, I don't think we can ignore the racial and class issues within

Ok, so I totally used to work at that store. And I was at the mall a couple of hours before the "disturbance". This is not the first time the police have had to shut down the mall, although in the past fights have been more the issue. This led to the mall implementing a policy where minors could not be in the mall
