There are super fine series of book that would just make fantastic series’ for Netflix, of a similar age to these Dutch stories. If they could pick up rights to Jack Vance’s Demon Prince series of Larry Niven’s Gil the Arm series (leading into a bunch of other cool characters), or Poul Anderson’s Dominic Flandry…

Heck yeah, Split Second. Hauer and Cattrall are great, the monster terrified me as a kid, but my lasting memory of that movie is Detective Dick Durkin.

He was such a great actor who always worked as hard as possible, no matter what project he was in. I got to show my oldest daughter Blade Runner for the first time months ago and Roy seemed to be her favorite character in the movie.

I’ll check it out if it’s on streaming for sure. I’ll poke around tonight and add it to my watch list if it is. I’ll give any series that (eventually) has Rutger Hauer in it a chance at the least.

I’m missing Kuiil more, honestly.  Nick Nolte was great; I didn’t even realize it was him until the credits.

So based on that picture, wouldn’t Jon Bernthal make a better Nathan Drake than Tom Holland? I mean, sure Tom would be the bigger draw, but if the budget was drastically cut, Jon would be the perfect cheaper alternative.

It’s funny because I’ve been seriously jonesing for Upgrade and Henry again lately but none of my streaming services carry either. Time to buy them, I suppose.
