Thank you for not making this a slideshow - and on an unrelated side note (well, brought on by the reminder from the phrasing), happy Thanksgiving Kotaku.

So...when's the last time the lead character in a popular show was recast halfway through?
Kinda early for an April Fool’s joke, innit?
I’d rather them delay the season to work around Cavill’s schedule instead of recasting. Especially since I imagine Season 4 will largely be an adaptation of Baptism of Fire, which could be reworked to put the focus on Ciri and The Rats, and reduce the Geralt side of the story to smaller bits culminating in the Battle…
Alatar and Pallando could still show up in Rhun, either as villains or allies. Tolkien seemed to change his mind about several key aspects of the characters. At first he had them showing up in the Third Age, then he said they arrived before the other Istari, sometime in the Second. At first he said they were mostly…
5 seasons of 8 episodes, so only 40 episodes (we’re almost a quarter of the way through the whole thing already!). And I don’t think the three cultists are dead, they turned into a wraith-like form and fled, with the heavy implication they are three of the Nazgul (and maybe a hint that Sauron has already forged the…
Agreed. I’ve been enjoying this show way more than I thought I would. Thye have been clever with their reveals and tie ins just enough to allow people who know the story to feel a bit “In” on it while still doing their own thingand surprising us here and there. For example: I doubt that’s Gandalf. Bet its one of the…
I think in Return of the King, the Mouth of Sauron calls him “Sauron”.
I think this is a slightly unfair take. It’s a pretty standard tv pathway for long form storytelling; and if we’re getting 80 episodes of this, it’s going to be one amazing long slow-burn epic journey to get there.
because they are awesome.
Some of us are old and set in our ways, I guess. We own several tablets and Kindles, but my wife and I both prefer an actual book or comic. I can appreciate the ease of reading electronically, but the physical copies bring me much more joy.
I tend to think Prime wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes in the Mirror Universe, but I’d still like to see him return somehow because I liked Jason Isaacs as Lorca pretty much right up until he revealed himself as Mirror Asshole Lorca.
Stellan Skarsgård is some inspired casting for Baron Harkonnen.
Since they are going almost entirely off of the Siege toy line (except for Bumblebee), it looks unlikely Nightbeat would show up for season 1. However, a lot of those Titan Masters from Titans Return are getting full figures in the upcoming toy line. So, I wouldn’t bet against Nightbeat in season 2.
I just want to say that I like FRIENDS, because I know AV Club commenters do not.
Right. The Church has a right to declare sins wherever they like, and we have the right to go right on ignoring them.
Seems about right...
You’re welcome! I would recommend reading the books though if they are available in English, this is a really good series, which shifts genres each novel (also the storyline in Gambit film version is changed to entertain those who knew the solution from the books). There were two other attempts to bring Erast to film…
Yeah know, I read your comments and even I didn’t catch the import of your screen name. I try not to yell at the sky to often, but i feel there is hope just because I’ve seen a single great show in my old age, so I have to vent one more time. I agree, waiting for SyFy to give us anything better then the stuff they’ve…
Nice. Thank You!
