I know a few people who think, like, exactly the opposite about P4 Golden, largely because of the way the additional content handled certain characters.

The whole Discovery cover up thing demonstrates, once again, that whenever Trek tries to answer questions about production inconsistencies in story, the result is always, always worse than just leaving it alone.

there’s basically nothing i want more in games than a new obsidian star wars rpg, even if it’s not kotor...

they don’t? kylo’s a skywalker, leia’s a skywalker, and luke skywalker himself is the focus of the first movie and a major character in the second.

ah yeah, i saw that interview—but we dunno if it’s Benioff and Weiss or Johnson yet, right?

yah, maybe. i just think it’s such a daft idea that i’m gonna hold out hope it’s a red herring until it’s explicitly confirmed.

I dunno about where you are, but that really, really isn’t the case here in the UK. Digital games on the Xbox Store are ludicrously overpriced next to physical, for both new releases and older titles. You could wipe out the savings from buying this console in one or two purchases.

I like The Last Jedi quite a bit more than most of Game of Thrones, and that goes doubly so for all of Benioff and Weiss’ original material.

isn’t the thing with that comic that it’s a nightmare of Vader’s, rather than the explicit truth?

Hey, yeah, that’s fair. Like I said, I don’t actually think Benioff and Weiss would do a particularly good job of adapting KotOR—but I can certainly see why someone might be more excited for Rian Johnson to get to do his own thing.

.... do you really need me to go over the whole ‘I really like The Last Jedi’ thing

There’s genuinely nothing I want more than a - relatively loose, ‘cause I think Rian works better with fewer constraints - Rian Johnson adaptation of KotOR II. TLJ’s already the closest Star Wars has gotten to recapturing the magic of that game since, and I genuinely can’t think of anyone who’d be able to do a better

As the resident KotOR II liker - yo that game’s my favourite Star Wars anything - I’m already prepared to be, like, ludicrously disappointed with whatever they put out.

Oh, I really disagree. Bits of Game of Thrones really are great, but only the stuff that’s pulled directly from the books—whenever Benioff and Weiss get more creative freedom, nasty shit happens.

Okay, now that I’d be down with. TLJ’s pretty much the closest Star Wars has gotten to recapturing the magic of KotOR II.

I’d much rather a new RPG - ideally written by Chris Avellone - than a movie, honestly.

i mean i wanna buy some now

Ah, that’s a bummer.

My Student Prime comes with infinite - well, for as long as I still have Prime, anyways - Twitch Prime—I’ve had it for over a year now, and I’ve never paid more than the standard Student Prime yearly fee.

That’s definitely not the case here in the UK. I’ve been getting free Twitch Prime for ages.
