If anyone’s in the mood for some super nerdy - in a good way, really! - in-lore breakdowns of a lot of the new ships introduced to BSG canon by Deadlock, check out this video:

I really wish there were some equivalent of Instagiffer for mobile devices. I like being able to choose frame rate, resolution, and so on.

This is true, though I do generally prefer Halo’s gunplay to Destiny’s. Think it’s the whole left trigger -> right trigger thing—I prefer shooters where aiming down sights is an occasional thing, rather than a necessity almost every time you shoot.

I dunno, man, much as I hate it, I can see the logic behind letting ME lie dormant for a good long while.

I’m actually kinda bummed that you have to skip the kid-Aloy bits of the prologue to use this mode. I remember liking A Gift From The Past, in particular, and I think a fresh playthrough would feel kinda incomplete without it—heck, going through it again while knowing the wider context behind what was going on with

Well, considering that every single outlet offering pre-orders around here - UK - sold out within minutes, I won’t be holding my breath.

Nah, it’s totally Pillars. :)

I’ll be on an adventure. The kind with pet baby dragons, dialogue trees, and incredibly disturbing stretchy trolls:

I mean, Pillars is real time with pause, rather than turn-based, but I wouldn’t exactly call it action-packed. They’re very different sorts of games, but maybe Diablo 3 or Torchlight could work?

Ooh, that controller response bug sounds potentially infuriating. I’m playing thorough Pillars right now - I bounced off it at launch ‘cause I just wasn’t ready for a proper CRPG after spending so much time away from the genre, but my most recent playthrough of KotOR II left me hungry for more Obsidian, and all the

In my experience, running PC games below a monitor’s standard resolution pretty much always looks awful. Now, I’m hardly an expert, so there may be some technique I’m missing, but a quick Google hasn’t thrown up anything all that promising.

The issue is, I don’t want 4K - ‘cause, I’m my experience at least, running PC games at anything other than a monitor’s native resolution pretty much always looks terrible, and the hardware necessary for actual native 4K gaming at high/ultra settings and 60FPS is well outside my means - but I do want HDR. So... Well,

Nope. I’m still on 1080p, both with my TV and my PC monitor. I’m really not fussed about 4K, to be honest—I find the colour saturation/dynamic range offered by HDR much more compelling than the extra pixels.

*SPOILERS FOR KOTOR II - WHICH YOU REALLY SHOULD PLAY IF YOU HAVEN’T - BELOW*

I used to hang around Jalopnik quite a bit - even authored a fair few Oppo posts - so... Well, the resemblance makes sense, if nothing else.
