Ah well, that’s that, I guess. Kinda surprised, honestly—if it’s not in active development as of right now, by the time it does come out a huge amount of time will have passed between it and Inquisition’s release.

I wonder if this’ll have any bearing on the eventual announcement/release of Dragon Age 4?

They’re keeping the FMV tho? Right? RIGHT?

Nah, Bungie own the IP—guessing they didn’t want to risk having to give it up like Halo. Activision just have a ten-year first-ask publishing contract.

Activision didn’t buy Bungie—they’re an independent studio these days. Activision just publishes Destiny.

Yeah, it really is. I mean, I know vehicular combat systems - heck, just vehicles in general - can be incredibly difficult to implement well in an open-world RPG context, but I’d love to see more devs at least have a go at it.

To quote, well, everyone at Giant Bomb:

Eh, I dunno. I never really took their de-canonising the old EU as resetting things to the black/white status quo. The old stories still existed - heck, they’ve been pulling the bits they like from them quite happily - and from the very beginning, the new stories have offered at least some level of moral complexity,

I’d happily play a Star Wars Uncharted, though I am admittedly hoping that Amy Hennig’s game does something more than just that. I’d love, say, a Horizon-style, heavily story driven open-world semi-RPG.

“Also I’m going to guess it sees the player realise that the Empire is evil and immediately join the Rebellion. This is Star Wars after all where everything has to be good or bad these days (Rogue One was such a great breath of fresh air in that regard).”

If the campaign’s any good, I’ll probably give it a go. I know game dev takes time - a lot of time - but I’m still kind of astounded that it’s been four years since EA and Disney signed that Star Wars exclusivity deal, and we still haven’t had even one singleplayer Star Wars game out of them. I mean, heck, unless I’m

I think Horizon tells a fantastic story, and I liked the compromise struck with the dialogue system: Aloy was very much an established character, with a set personality and so on, but you still got to make small but meaningful decisions about how she approached/reacted to certain situations. (My two favourite examples

I’m really glad the first I heard of this was Jason’s tweet preceding this article. Saved me a whole heaping helping of disappointment.

I thought Horizon was generally very well regarded? I absolutely loved it, personally—it’s up there with my all time favourite games. Absolutely loved the world, the story, and a good number of the cheracters—Aloy, in particular, was just fantastic. It’s really rare that I come across a video game protagonist who I

Plz don’t toy with my emotions like this.

Ah yes, SPARTAN Daytrader Vader-124.

Which Cauldron made the turkey. Which. One.
