I love the Gwent tournament quest. Always get a kick out of devs basing actually-super-good quests - with spy intrigue and everything! - around something that you might initially assume was just included as an extra time-sink. The Pazaak-based stuff in both KotORs was pretty good, too, as I recall.
I just don’t get the absolute fanaticism that people go through to talk down to those who want to harmlessly fantasise about a glorified cartoon video game character.
Deep BSN cuts, here.
Yeah, should do. I’ve never tried it myself - played Mass Effect on PC - but I’m given to understand it starts you up at whichever save is closest to the end of the game. So there’s a decent chance you won’t even have to do the whole final level again.
Indeed. Halo 5's multiplayer - shitty REQ system and undercooked BTB aside- was actually pretty good, and a huge improvement over 4's. The campaign was just hot garbage, though.
Nah, never. That said, I could see the utility of a browser on the Switch—it’d be handy to be able to do ‘tablet-y’ things with it while it’s undocked.
Heh, yeah. When I first read that I just burst out laughing when I realised it was completely true. Obsidian have probably made more sequels than they’ve made anything else, but they’ve all been to other devs’ games.
Eh, Obsidian’s whole MO has been using other people’s tech to make absolutely incredible - but still jank as fuck - games forever. There are exceptions, but most of their biggest and best-known games have that in common. It hasn’t particularly bothered me for a long time.
Indeed. Facebook’s various popular ‘news’ pages - outside of the big mainstream sites/providers that happen to also have Facebook pages - continue to be a truly absurd font of inexplicably popular, never-ending bullshit. Christ, I hate that site. I just don’t understand how people still believe the random crap that…
New York’s an ocean away, sadly. :(
Also, Kentucky Route Zero is half off with all proceeds going towards the ACLU:
Just watched this video again, after seeing this bit of fan art:
Oh, don’t worry—you’re not alone. They’ve been putting out loads of info on the game in a semi-constant stream since November, but it’s all hugely fragmentary - a magazine article here, an interview there, this AI site and a whole bunch of dev tweets - and, as such, a giant pain in the arse to follow if you’re not the…
I honestly can’t remember where I personally first heard all of it, but the Ark stuff is in this Andromeda Initiative briefing video:
