Yes, it is. Not doing so wears out the throwout bearing, and your leg from holding in the clutch.
It’s probably just carry-over from the fact that most people learn in manuals, and in a manual it is indeed good practice to put the car in neutral when you’re waiting at lights.
That’s how you’re supposed to do it, though? Or, at least, it’s part of the standard driver’s test here in the UK.
Here in the UK, we’re taught to put our cars in neutral and apply the handbrake when waiting at lights and such as part of driver education.
Hey, best I’ve managed is all of 47 seconds. Seriously, I just cannot get the hang of wallrunning.
The Focus RS500 put out 350 from the factory, but it’s not in production anymore, so hey ho.
Is it comparable at all to Halo’s aim-assist? The implementation seems different - the crosshair moving while the screen stays centred, versus the whole screen moving - but that’s kinda my main touchstone when it comes to aim assist while shooting from the hip.
Ah, that’s another difference, then—I kinda got my fill of Call of Duty with CoD4, and while I have played a few since, I’ve never stuck with them. Meanwhile, shooters that conform more closely to the old arena mould - Halo, for example - tend to hold my attention for far longer.
I’m leaning more Commander Shepard, personally. Her armour’s just a little too sleek to be an ODST or a SPARTAN, and while her wrist energy blade thingy is clearly an Elite energy sword from Halo, its positioning recalls Shepard’s Omni-Blade. (Even if certain flavours of Elite - in Reach, I think? - have been shown…
I did that, the one time I’ve actually driven an automatic. Thankfully, there wasn’t anyone behind me. Still quite a fright, though.
I dunno, dude—I have no problem with the idea of a game exploring the issues of the day, either directly or through allegory, and any such exploration is inevitably going to come across as opinionated.
Holy fuck Star Control II was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever played another game that made me feel more like a Starfleet officer—and that includes absolutely all the actual Star Trek games.
Ah, I see. Well, fair enough, then.
“Things of course get marginally easier if you manage on the continent, as it’ll be mostly business as usual, but then the inverse will apply to players from Britain. Not that many Spanish or Italian managers would be losing much sleep over that prospect in 2016.”
Well, the removal of ‘politics’ is, in and of itself, a political act.
Indeed. Still don’t quite get why Infinite Warfare’s gotten such a bad rap, but then, the whole reason I’m interested - space ships!!!! - seems to be a big part of what’s turning people off it, so...
Because, if these ‘explosive drones’ - not a particularly Star Wars concept - had been moving slowly enough to get through the shield, the Rebellion could’ve simply used their anti-air defences to shoot them down?
It’s presumably a more powerful take on the basic concept behind those shields from The Phantom Menace that could block energy weapons and high-velocity projectiles, but allowed physical objects to pass through.
Oh, if Rockstar were to take some structure/gameplay ideas from TW3/RPGs generally, that’d be just fantastic. Proper side-quests and dialogue options - probably more like Geralt’s than, say, a BioWare wheel - would be particularly good.
