Well, I’ve got my beta signup in. I spent an unhealthy amount of time playing Gwent in the actual game.

FINALLY FORZA FOR PC WOOOOOOO

I’d like to take a second to point out how incredibly stoked I am that they’ve given the Tempest a riff on the original Normandy’s black, white - well, silvery white - and red paint. I’ve been waiting for that to come back since the otherwise sexy-as-fuck SR2 spent one game orange and beCerberus’d, then the next blue

Yeah, that kinda bummed me out... But I’m glad that I at least liked what they did show, and it’s much more than we’d seen previously.

I made one with many frames, slightly slowed down to better appreciate the animation! Asariator Furiosa’s (working title) goofiness might be my favourite* bit of the trailer.

The going figure for how long it would take to get to Andromeda using the most advanced FTL technology presently available in the ME-verse is 250-something years, so I’m betting on that. They’d have to get around the ‘drive discharge’ issue, but hey, that’s what technobabble’s for.

If it didn’t matter, you probably wouldn’t be getting so bent out of shape about it, mate.

Eh, the in-game picture was shitty and low-res enough that they could probably fudge it and make the actual rendered version look like that.

‘Tactical, raise shields!’

Eh, it’s good to aim high. Even a game that aimed for Planescape levels of dialogue interactivity and missed would probably have more than basically any other game.

Ah, I see you’ve played ‘Make Kirky froth at the mouth with rage’ before.

Now playing

Now, now, I’m a TNG fan, so I couldn’t possibly punch him—violence should be a last resort, always. Scathing speeches, on the other hand...

‘stars from two and a half Star Trek settings (Abrams hasn’t earned it yet)‘

I wasn’t aware one could only be hyped for unannounced titles. All this time I’ve spent getting worked up about Mass Effect: Andromeda just feels silly now.

Our cars are the same age! I wonder how a sixteen year old Japanese supermini compares to a sixteen year old French supermini...

I like the space - all about that space - so this is actually the first CoD in a long while - since Modern Warfare 2, I think - that I’m interested in.

Shepard spends way more time on conversational autopilot - that is, talking without you actually having any input via the wheel - and the wheel, when it does show up, generally doesn’t offer you as many options as it did in Mass Effect 2. (Or Mass Effect 1, though 1 did have a bit of an issue with multiple options on
