I had a brief sojourn into WinPho land a few years ago, but the rather attractive UI wasn’t enough to make up for the app support/feature shortcomings, sadly. Still glad I tried it, though.

That’s some grade-A 8u115hit right there.
Why?

Wait, why hasn’t there been a Pokémon Snap AR game? It’s an absurdly obvious idea.
Any ETA on the Android version? Wanna know how long I’m gonna be sad for.
It’s gonna be more of an XCOM turn-based sort of thing than a DA: Origins-esque real-time-with-pausing system, so I wouldn’t write it off just ‘cause you weren’t too keen on that style of gameplay. Unless, of course, you’ve tried turn-based and not had the best time with that, either.
I feel like a significant proportion of the Kotaku readership aren’t really all that keen on BioWare, these days. Plenty of exceptions, including me - I didn’t like Mass Effect 3 (not primarily ‘cause of the ending stuff, weirdly enough), but I’ve enjoyed pretty much everything else, very much including DA2 and…
I wouldn’t worry too much. He did specifically clarify that this would be in addition to DA 4, rather than a replacement for it, in a later tweet. Besides, Inqusition did pretty well for them, as I recall: they’ve no reason to dump the franchise now.
Yup! I’d definitely play a proper XCOM-esque Dragon Age game - I really like that universe, and I’ve enjoyed every game in the franchise so far - but if it’s some mobile, energy-based crud... Well, I’ll probably just read up on the story in the wiki or something, assuming it’s worth a damn.
A turn-based XCOM-esque game would be just as different from Origins’ revamped CRPG combat as DA II and Inquisition were. Not different in the same way, to be sure, but still just as different.
I quite like that idea—you could even present it as a logical continuation of the War Table stuff from Inquisition.
Did you play Trespasser? I just finished Inquisition for the first time, and personally, I’d happily play the next Dragon Age game right now.
I’ve come to really appreciate Dragon Age II’s story since giving it a second playthrough a few years later. It’s probably one of the most personal RPG stories I’ve experienced, certainly in a BioWare game.
Dragon Age: Inquisition was far from a perfect game - mainly due to an over-abundance of collectables and filler-y open world design - but I have to say I disagree rather strongly on the characters and dialogue, and even the overarching plot once you factor in Trespasser. I liked pretty much all the characters, and…
I totally did!
The G’Kar/London relationship was the best bit of Babylon 5, and Babylon 5 had a lot of great bits.
