“You think about what MLK stood for, he said he didn’t want people judged on the color of their skin but on the content of their character. You listen to some of these people nowadays, they don’t talk about that.”
an archaic Senate procedure that purports to maintain bipartisanship, but in practice, just means minority rule and stagnation.
Many people derive a lot of psychic benefit from having that status symbol for others to see, however. Otherwise, there would be no real reason to have modifiers such as senior, principal, or executive on job titles.
I believe it was former NYC Mayor David Dinkins who, when asked why he didn’t use city funds to buy some property that was allegedly a great deal for the city, said “If they’re selling elephants two for a quarter, that’s a great bargain. But only if you have a quarter—and only if you need elephants.”
I hate to be this callous, but if someone who has no will, no spouse, and no kids passes away, why does their family get anything? Ever think there might have been a reason he didn’t have a will specifically leaving them his estate?
Yeah, I’d be more shocked if the NFL went back to the old 6 teams in each conference (which I thought was perfect) than if the next CBA didn’t bring the 18 game season, EIGHT teams in each conference making the playoffs (no more byes), and a Thursday Night Wildcard Game.
Yeah, the Cardinals were already beat at that point and got semi-hosed on the replay review from the play before (looked like a catch and fumble out of bounds to me, certainly wasn’t definitive enough to overturn imo). The Cowboys had literally just chewed up 40 yards in three plays in 18 seconds getting out of bounds…
My favorite part of the Bengals-Raiders inadvertent whistle controversy was Raiders fans arguing passionately and without irony that “rules are rules”, yet they still aren’t over the Tuck Rule game.
One of the first replies to that Twitter thread is Ducktor Naldush linking the video after providing the requisite warnings...
Yeah, plus he’s probably exaggerating how many times she texted him about it. It was probably like two or three times. If anything, it’s probably more of a joke about Tom Holland - I’ve seen tons of talk show clips recently where all of his co-stars are ripping him over his rep for spoiling the Marvel movies.

Yep. I found it from a couple of the people I follow on Twitter sharing their results. I like that I don’t see anyone spoiling the word and that it’s fun to see people’s thought processes from their progression once you’ve solved the daily wordle.
Did you not SEE the part where he said he’s one of the nicer showrunners?
“Powerless to resist” as if they were trapping him in his trailer and throwing their naked bodies at him, rather than him leveraging his power to coerce them into sex.
OK. I got the list (prior to Kitchens) from a site discussing Wilks’ firing, so I should have linked the source: https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nfl/cardinals/2018/12/31/arizona-cardinals-steve-wilks-list-nfl-coaches-fired-after-one-season/2449435002/
Bieniemy and Leftwich should have been hired last cycle. Would have loved for the Chargers to hire their former RB (Bieniemy) instead of Staley (who I think is OK so far, despite the results oriented bashing of his decisions).
NFL head coaches since 2000 who have been terminated during or after just one season with a team.
Problem there is they’ve already marked your order as paid and it would cause a major headache to override. Just say great and toss $5 in the tip jar, and if asked if you want to continue the chain say no.
