Because the butcher shop owner is racist, everyone who works for him automatically is as well?

Well. I should have seen that coming from a mile away. Of course, I didn’t even notice that he wasn’t on the list yet until I scrolled to the Ultimate Peter Parker at number three, then groaned as I knew exactly what sort of click-baity ending this list would have...
They also offered the deliveryman disability pay. Other than dropping the butcher shop as a client, which has no impact on whether or not the deliveryman has an income, what would have had the delivery service do?
So how many people are you willing to put out of work with your simplified view of the situation? How many customers does the butcher shop service, and in what type of neighborhood? Will those customers now have easy access to a replacement source of meat products? Or will they now have to cross town and go out of…
Paying for a handy and getting a full BJ instead!
The company offered to ensure the deliveryman had no further contact with the offending client. Would it have been nice for the delivery company to cut off all deliveries to that particular client as a moral stand? Perhaps. They decided not to. Perhaps they were going to let the incident play out in court, rather than…
Allow me to first remind you that I have nothing to do with this incident. I am not the butcher shop owner, the delivery service, or the deliveryman.
Fair enough. I certainly won’t say you’re wrong to feel that way, or that I completely disagree. However, from a business standpoint, it might be hard to be successful if you can only offer your products or services to folks who are aligned with your own particular ideology. I’m not saying that’s not a worthy position…
Counseling wasn’t the only option given. They also offered him a different route.
Sorry. I disagree that he was betrayed by his own boss. It seems to me they offered very reasonable accommodations for him, and at least this post makes it sound like they didn’t need any prodding to do so. Again, I get taking the moral stance he did, but why not accept the disability pay, so he at least still had…
Yeah. The “joke” part of this is bullshit. That owner should get slapped down to the fullest extent allowed by the law. But I can’t for the life of me understand why the deliveryman didn’t work with his employer to make sure he had some form of income, be it disability or a change of route. I get making a moral stand,…
Not sure what to think here. The company says they offered disability pay, counseling, and a change of route, which seem like reasonable accommodations, however, I also understand the deliveryman’s distaste of his employer continuing to service the offending owner.
Knowing that song’s lyrics pretty much proves you’re old. And me as well for getting the reference.
That is the diagonal Pittsburgh jersey. Hated it at the time. I hate it a lot less now, but still not my favorite. I have a Straka jersey in that style, supposedly game-worn.
Climates change. There were ice ages before there were evil Republicans and their demonic SUVs. In the seventies, we were headed into the next ice age. Then it became global warming. Then it became just general climate change because the theoretical assumptions weren’t adding up to the actual outcomes.
How about the factory that makes the ECCO shoes featured in the daily deals blog post that appeared directly below this post when I visited the website? What is that factory like I wonder?
All of this is solved by not having a stupid FaceSpace account.
It’s almost like this isn’t a viable career path...
There were probably more Democrats than Republicans. You know how I know? Because a Gizmodo Media site wouldn’t have missed the opportunity to slam a bunch or Republicans. But they wouldn’t do so at a high cost to the Dems...
I wish they’d have bought the USPS instead. Then maybe all my Prime shipments would arrive on time rather than about half of them.
