I have to imagine the same drivers that take part in a street takeover are some of the worst when it comes to “running red lights, failing to stop at crosswalks, and generally not paying attention” during their non-street takeover trips about town...

I’m gonna be that person who points out that Indigenous people tell a very different story about Pocahontas than this article does.

A bit of a stretch to say this story does that in the first place.

This is bonkers out of control at grocery stores and other big box stores but it’s also gotten pretty bad everywhere else. Restaurants that never had delivery or pickup now have three dedicated pickup spots, every app driver acts like delivering someone’s Chipotle is exactly the sort of thing you leave a car parked…

It’s one of those wild little ironies in life to watch someone who sucked at parking immediately step out of the vehicle and become a terrible pedestrian.  So many times you see someone do something boneheaded while parking and then that person immediately gets on their phone and does something boneheaded walking.

Was there ever a clear communication of whether they’ve sold all the tickets or just more than they meant to? I think the assumption has been that there will not be more tickets on sale at all but I don’t know that I’ve actually seen it stated.
