Yeah...that’s the real problem. You lose the weight and hit the goal and are still miserable and unhappy with your body so you move the goalpost. Because your weight was never actually the real problem. (Saying you in the general sense, not you specifically). It really is so awful.

I can understand people needing a space where they can talk about something that is widely considered to be shameful with people who understand. That part I get. Goal weight setting and the memes here aren’t that. They aren’t poking fun at their own misery, they are celebrating it while pretending not to. This is so

Awwwwww Elsa! She was the best part of RHoM! RIP.

This is horrifying!!

REALLY???

This is terrifying!

I agree completely! She seems pretty damn great.

I worked at a book store when we did a midnight release of that book and someone walked by screaming that to the almost a hundred people waiting in line to buy the book. That guy was a dick.

Or neither parent steps back AND neither parent does the work at home and they just hire people to cook/clean and leave the kids to raise themselves. Recipe for super well-adjusted kids!

I have worked with a lot of creative folks and seen this same journey and I think that is why you and I are more empathetic to this struggle than others might be. It is really hard.

I totally understand why people who are not used to attention (especially writers who are normally behind the scenes) struggle with even a moderate level of fame. It sounds really terrible to me. Even for something that is positive like this it just adds pressure to everything you do. It sounds great in theory but I

No. I kept hearing that it was good so I broke down and saw it but it was even worse than I expected it to be based on the trailer. It was so boring and poorly acted. i honestly don’t understand how so many people loved it.

This is such perfect casting. I agree it’s all about the unnerving eye contact. Even through film or photo. You feel like you have to look away.

I suppose it could be if it’s worn tighter than normal to stop it from slipping down...

I don’t know a single woman who doesn’t remove her bra as soon as she gets home. It’s palpable relief.

I think I might actually hate these women. I’m having a visceral reaction to their words.

I really don’t think this is entirely a gendered problem. There is a reason that SNL skit “Fashion Coward” hit such a nerve for women. LOTS of people don’t want a crazy number of options or anything more than basics that fit well. I am a woman and I similarly hate how long button down shirts are and wish more were

That is how I feel about so much of Netflix’s original programming. There are great ideas, talented actors, etc but mostly the pieces just don’t all come together the way they would at a major studio or TV network. It’s ALMOST like making this stuff is hard and the people who have been doing it for decades might be a
